Threaders Fabric Stabiliser Spray, Transparent, 500 ml

The fact that I couldn't use this until I managed to cannibalise another spray top from another product was not helpful!

It sprays in a single jet and doesn't cling to the material, so spraying it on hanging materials, a lot runs off.

I bought this for macrame projects it takes longer than 30 minutes to dry, like a lot longer. Does well adhesion wise but doesn't fully adhere everywhere no matter how much was used. Can imagine it would be better for thinner material maybe. Easy to use just a little messy, quite a strong smell to it too. I personally for what I need it for, wouldn't buy again.

I've been using starch to stiffen chiffon for sewing, but it softened too quickly to be that useful. This liquid stabilizer works very well to stop it fraying and to keep it's shape when sewing with a machine. Narrow hems are very easy to do as well as overlocking if you don't want it curving or bunching up. When the garment is finished, all you need to do is wash it and it rinses straight out.

Had to switch the lid/spray for an old one that I had, as this one just pours out like milk. Having done that it’s a good stiffener for my aida cross stitch fabric.

I bought this as I thought it would be better than spray starch for quilting. How wrong can you be, nozzle marked off and spray, except it did not spray a fine, even mist. It sent out streams of the stuff. Rey disappointed. Will stick to starch in future,
