My first salad spinner
After years of wanting one I finally purchased a salad spinner.I received it yesterday (8/6/18) and have since used it.I was surprised to see it had shipped as is, meaning it wasn't inside a traditional cardboard shipping box, the box it's housed in was it's shipping box. So I can see how some people received broken bits from transit.Being new to salad spinners I immediately looked for instructions...none were found IN the box...however they are ON the box (one of the pictures I've attached).I washed the components and was excited to see how much of a difference a spinner could make in my freshly cut head of lettuce. The included lettuce knife worked very well, so kudos for that!It was simple to use. I placed the cut up lettuce bits into the strainer basket inside of the bowl, filled with water, attached the lid, swished it a little and let sit like the box instructions mentioned, drained it and then started turning the handle.Well, the bottom part is non-skid, however the bowl would clunk around on the spins, like it'd pick up and bounce around the counter. So it's true, it didn't slide but would bounce from the handle turning, so using 2 hands, one to hold it down to minimize bouncing and the other to spin is a must.End result is my lettuce is clean and dry!I'm currently storing the lettuce in the bowl to see if it'll help keep it from turning on me, I haven't bought a special container for produce yet and my other method of storing lettuce is okay, but curiosity of if I can just leave it in the bowl with the top clamped is what's leading the experiment.When I unlatched the lid this morning to take a picture as you can see my lettuce looks fine...still dry and not wilting. I'll be happy if I can just store it in there and extend it's longevity, so time will tell and maybe I'll update if I notice it wilting or not lol.So I dropped a star for the fact it shipped in it's actual box and not a shipping box which could lead to damaged items on arrival (the spinner is inside of the box, nothing to support it as well) and because of the hopping around it does when you spin.***Update 8/11/18***I finally got the last bits of lettuce out to use. I have attached a picture, the lettuce stayed perfect, not wilted, and still dry being stored in the spinner with the top lid locked down. This makes me ecstatic since I often have to pick out brown, wilted, soggy bits due to not having a special storage container.

Great Salad Spinner
This is a terrific product and easy to use. The bowl does not slip when using it as it has a non-slip ring on the base. The snap lid assures that it will stay on when spinning. This is also easy to spin. Included is a very cool plastic knife for cutting up the lettuce after it is clean. The basket is also generous. Good Salad Spinner
No complaints...I have never owned a salad spinner, and to be honest I only ordered it to clean my tortoises lettuce. Therefore, I've never had a problem with it. Its easy to use, and made of thick plastic...it really don't get very dirty but I do pop it into the dishwasher and it comes out sparkling!

Excellent salad spinner
Love this! So smooth and easy to use, my kids love helping me spin! The non skid base keeps it stable, so it doesn't fly off the counter! It's great for herbs and collard greens too! I appreciate the bonus lettuce knife.

I think it's great. I have only one problem. In the packaging there is no instruction or illustration about how the locking tabs work. I was afraid I might break them. I went back to the Amazon listing and found a photo showing the position the tabs have to be in before locking.

Good purchase
It works good. I through it in the dishwasher and easy to clean. Can also be used as strainer. Happy with it.

Very pleasantly surprised!
Love It! Was not holding out much hope for this as it was not very expensive, but I am very surprised. It has a great spin - does not slide on counter and is much better than the more expensive ones I have had.
