Would have been suitable if this CD player actually allowed ...
Would have been suitable if this CD player actually allowed you to play story CD's etc - rather than a 'pretend CD'This information was not clear enough - so I returned this item.

Positively awful plastic cr@p!!!
Chad Valley have taken cheap plastic toys to a new low with this creation. My wife and I purchased one of these for our son. It didn't work. Against our better judgment, we exchange it for another. Second one didn't work either. Refund the only sensible option. The quality of this toy is so unbelievably poor, it is hard to believe that Chad Valley employ any form of quality control. The plastic feels toxic, the lid doesn't close, the buttons wouldn't last a day in the hands of a child. It is safe to say that the quality of this toy is so poor, I would be disappointed to find it in a cheap Tesco Christmas cracker.Based on our experience, I will not purchase or ever recommend a Chad Valley product.

cd player???
i bought this for my son for christmas when he was 2 years old. On purchasing it we noticed the buttons did not work properly. The play button did not work and neither did the forward and back buttons. The cd's do not play what they say they do on the front and there is no words only music. The eject button is very difficult for children so changing the disc is hard for them. The cd player is also much smaller than it looks so be warned (about the size of a small loaf of bread.) It is not very sturdy so dropping it would probably be the end of it.
