No good for hot drinks
Very disappointed that this mug has no real insulation, not even with the silicon wrapper. I drink black coffee and have taken this cup to 2 or 3 different coffee outlets for a coffee and each time I have not been able to hold the cup for more than a few seconds as the heat is too much. The bamboo cup itself is even hotter. It needs much improved wrapper to make it viable for hot liquids. If you drink cooler coffees or tea with plenty of cold milk maybe it might be OK? But not for black drinks

Ideal for the office, probably not for coffee on the move
I bought this cup to use at work, so in terms of being a reusable cup that doesn't get used for travelling, it does the job and it's pretty good. The silicone lid doesn't stay put very well, so as other reviewers have said, this cup is not really ideal for those who like to carry their hot drink on the move. Also, the drinking hole on the lid is very small so good luck trying to extract some of your drink from it.However, this cup is perfectly adequate for home or office use, it washes well and it's a lot cuter than the average standard mug. Oh and above all, again unlike with mugs, if you put the lid on while you get distracted by work colleagues, your drink will stay hot for a long time.

Pretty and functional
So far so good! I bought this specifically to have a hot tea on the way to work and it’s great so far. The lid fits fine and doesn’t leak when used but I wouldn’t think it can be kept in a bag or anything as it’s open where you drink from so not ‘sealed’. The lid is not a tight fit either, which I like, but adds to the fact this will not travel well unless carried upright.I’ve had no issues holding the cup and for me, the silicone band keeps the heat at bay when handling. Obviously, it gets warm as there’s boiling water in it and it’s not a double walled cup.The only issue initially was getting rid of the rubbery smell on the lid. I hand washed it the first time, then put it in the dishwasher and the smell went! All in all, does what I need a basic travel cup to do and looks really pretty. For the price, I’m really happy and can have my tea on the go! All good...

Wonderful cup its the future to keeping tea and coffee warmer for longer and plastic free.
I dont like the fact its not microwave proof, but other than that i love my cup, so far no leaks fell asleep twice whilst in use to find my cup almost flat on its ide but yet no leakages or spillages. Its great colour, immage etc cheers me up, being bed bound this cups great for me.It is true how ever about the sleeve being far too thin and not providing enough protection against the extream heat these cups preserve. But i just use a tissue or serviette untill it cools down enough. They should make extra bigger sleeves to sell to put over the existing sleeves if you should need one but then just be practical and add some cold water to cool it down.I love the fact it maintains a nice hot tempreture as i do forget now and again during watching tv, its nice to find my tea is still warm enough to drink in the adverts.I love bamboo it is the future along with hemp.

Stubborn plastic smell
It says it's made by the brand Cambridge, it came with the label attached, but it doesn't have the Cambridge stamp and info on its base. Other cups from that company do.This one is tough, beautiful. Good lid and sleeve. But it has an awful smell. Plasticky smell that doesn't go, despite so many washes, soaking in boiling water, and even soaking in vinegar more than once. The smell affects the drink, which tastes funny. Despite what people are saying, the silicone lid doesn't smell. It is the cup's plastic resin coating that smells. And i believe it leaches chemicals into the hot drinks too.I can't use it as a cup.I'll use it for something else.Disappointing they used a smelly plastic resin, lazy.

Poor lid
I like the variety of designs and the fact it is dishwasher safe, but the lid fits poorly for something designed for travel and I am not sufficiently confident in its integrity to drink through the top.The cup sounds and feels brittle but is resilient to the odd knock (I will update should that change). There is a holder in place to help grip and reduce heat transfer to fingers and that works well.Check out the variety of designs as there is also quite a lot of difference in price at the present time; I liked Poppy Flowers sufficiently to purchase two the same.

Broke after a month of use
It was pretty. That's about it. Judging by all the good reviews I feel like maybe I received a dud. Always hand washed and it cracked in less than a month. Was also retaining tea/coffee smell/taste and the rubber was still burning my hands despite the rubber band. Lid was a wobbly joke, wouldn't even stay put. Ended up using the cup without it.

Very happy with this, looks lovely!
Really nice, I got loads of use of of it! Looks just as photographed too, very pretty. Only note is that the lid isn't screw on so you need to be extra careful not to knock it over, however this wasn't an issue for me!
