Vaughan RS17 480g Plain Face Stealth Rip Hammer

Excellent hammer. Its taken over as my new daily user. Great for demolition with its bigger head and straight claw that is perfect for getting plaster off. Just as good at hitting nails or chisels too. Not too heavy and just feels good to use.

The length is no i was expecting but good quality

This hammer was used for a week and the head snapped off. I issued a refund and didn't get it had no response from the seller and had no option to contact the seller either DO BOT BUY!!

Had it less than a month, broke that easily not sure it's the genuine article. I can't possibly recommend this hammer, and will be seeking a refund.

I know a few carpenters that have bought these. Head/shaft intersection had a weak point and snaps off if you use the side nail puller, without great force.

Sent me the wrong hammer. Not wrong colour. Completely different hammer than shown- wrong head, handle, weight.. not even close. Tried to contact someone... just a waste of money, and I don’t even get what I wanted. Should have gone to HomeDepot and I wouldn’t have to deal with the pain of return/exchange.. it would have been what I wanted to start with.

Made in the USA...unfortunately, you dont see that much these days. This is a very nice hammer. Light weight but well balanced with a oversized striking surface. The design and handle absorbs shocks very well. As an electrician I dont use it regularly and its not normally used for driving nails but it suits my purpose perfectly. It is also very unique looking and readily identifiable so wont easily get lost or "borrowed" on jobsites.

I don't know how to contact the seller so just writing to see if anyone knows about the warranty on these vaughan hammers.... Thought they would be a bit better quality....look where this one broke

I'm a ruff Carpenter. Recently I've been forming concrete footings and foundations. I was browsing amazon one day and came across this hammer. After reading it's features I was intrigued enough to buy it even though I already have 2 estwing hammers. Anyways now this is the only hammer I use. If your thinking about getting one, do yourself a favor and get it. That's coming from a guy who knows.I couldn't be more satisfied with the company I purchased it from as well. Earlier that same day I bought some Klein ironworker pliers. The pliers were sent 2 day shipping and the hammer was sent ordinary shipping. Anyways I received the hammer a day sooner then the pliers. So needless to say 5 stars all the way.
