This paint is smooth, and goes on thick, not like those other face paints that are super thin and create cracks on your face after drying. So easy to work with. A first I was a little hesitant to let my son wear this face paint ALL DAY at school (9 hours) but I have to say that it lasted, with very little smearing. I ended up using some paint for my face as well and it stayed put. As for taking it off, it’s depends how much you put on. It make take a little time but all you need is make up remover and some soap. Bought my own cheap paint brush set and it worked well with the paint. Would definitely buy again!

My husband's Halloween makeup came out great! It lasted the whole night. He had it on for about 6 hours & even though he sweated it didn't come off easily. To remove it was a little time consuming but with the write tools it comes off just fine, we uses the neutrogena liquid makeup remover.

For the volume this set has, and for the price, its a whole lot cheaper than anything available at any of the seasonal or walk in stores nearby where I live.This oil based paint goes on very very easily, leaving application an extremely simple task. Even the red goes on super well and holds decently for some time.My better half and I used these for a party we went to as some of our costume makeup and have no regrets. All three were applied with various sponges or brushes, and I had no problems getting good coverage; I cannot attest to how well it goes on or stays if applied by hand/finger though.The labels on the bottom of each paint, list the various dyes and ingredients. If youre concerned about specific dyes, I suggest you take a look at these when you recieve them to make sure theyre good for you. They do say not to be used on anyone under 3, so some consideration ought to be taken when using.The container for each color has a good seal and a screw on lid; ensuring keeping these paints (or the rest of them) for a while. Ive tried the crayons or tubes, and they never last. So in time, I'll see how well these hold up and if its something noteworthy, I can return to this review.Shipping was very fast from checkout to door step.Honestly I dont have any complaints for these as face paints. Im no expert but they all did exactly what I wanted (especially the black) and went on just as I expected. Definitely way better than the usual small packages at the walk in places, or worse, the two crayon style ones of just black and white or grey. At least with this set I can use it for more than myself, one time, and plan to do just that!

Very hard to remove, had to scrub vigorously with washcloth and pumice soap multiple times for multiple days to remove completely. Stained shower floor

This was just what we needed for Halloween and it did work well. The colors are basic, red, white, black, and they are oil based. This makes it easier to apply without pulling on the skin too much. It is blendable, and gand be lightened up by using the white as a base. We have always used similar products, but this made for a very nice set. Do use a good remover, such as a make up remover instead of soap. It will come off much easier. It's also a good price for 3 larger pots of makeup. Have fun, test it out if you aren't familiar with using theatrical paint.

This face paint worked out great and it can spread very easily. I made several layers to have more coverage, and it washes out with warm water and soap.

This set of 3 pots has quite a bit of paint in each one, and the application is really pigmented. If you want a bruised look, mix all three together to create realistic bruises for FX. They are almost waterproof when worn, so if it rains, they will not smear unless you rub your face. I wore it in the shower and it did not budge with water running over it until I used soap. This is an excellent quality face/body paint and the very basic set anyone could need in their Halloween makeup supply. Plus you can do many faces with this in the same household or use it a few years in a row until it starts to smell rancid. You can use your fingers to apply, or get some sponges or brushes to use. This set does not come with tools, therefore it shouldn't be called a kit in my opinion.*Always do a test patch like the nape of the neck or a small area on the face and forearm areas a week prior to use, wear it for several hours wipe it off, and see if any irritation occurs, rash, or reactions. If you have no issues, then it is completely safe to use. If you have any issues that show up, you could be sensitive or allergic... do not continue to use makeup that might harm your skin. Goes without saying, but some people might need to know this.**I used craft rhinestones on my face one Halloween and slowly they started to irritate and form blisters and burns hours later and left circles on the spots I wore them. I have yet to try body-safe ones as they still might cause similar issues for me. Do not use craft rhinestones as embellishments, the body-safe ones probably have stickers on them as a barrier against the mirror-like metal on the back.
