Elegant design, sturdy dishes, will mix well with other dishes
Pros: Nice, sturdy bowl with a simple, elegant design that will let your food be the star of the show. This is perfect for pasta or even for a small serving bowl. It would also be fine for soup, but I prefer a rimmed bowl for soup. The color is a nice bone white, as shown in the photos. These are slightly translucent, as bone china should be, when held up to the light.Cons: Not as thin as my other bone china sets, which is disappointing because we bought this to mix in with other sets. Unfortunately, it looks a bit too "heavy" to mix in with more delicate, thin looking sets. We lined this up on the counter with other china sets, including some stoneware, and it looked sort of in between the other thinner bone chinas and the stoneware - not quite delicate enough to go with most other bone china but not quite heavy enough to go with stoneware sets. With Tin Can Alley averaging about $70 per place setting, I think the bone china should be thinner and more elegant so that it can mix better with other bone china sets.Overall, I like the bowl, and it will serve its primary purpose.

Not made in USA; incorrect item description
Lenox has been offshoring production of US made designs, and Tin Can Alley is apparently one of those designs. Most of the original set, including these dessert plates, was US made but these now are made in Malaysia. Other pieces from this set that are not made domestically (pasta bowls) are of noticeably lower quality and in my experience wear very quickly, so I don't have much hope for the longevity of these plates.

Not verified Lenox
Lenox dishes come with a guarantee and registration card and are packaged in a Lenox box. These arrived in one thin sheet of bubble wrap, no card, and were so poorly packaged, they arrived chipped and one was completely broken in half.

Made in the USA-- you can really feel the quality
We've had this whole set for years, and just recently had to replace a few of these bowls that had broken-- not due to poor quality, but just due to a combination of clumsiness and a 9-month-old baby! The new bowls that came match the older ones exactly, with one important distinction-- they're now stamped with "Made in the USA" on the bottom, and the weight of them in your hands is now much more substantial-- they feel like even better quality than the original ones we bought. I would have recommended this set before, and I'd recommend it even more highly now.

Great size but more fragile than most
The size is better than you would think, but they are fragile -- more than usual I would say. We've used for meals, salads, deserts, and any sloppy foods. Purchased 6, but only have 2 left, keep breaking.

Great performer
We use this bowl, the fruit bowl, the salad and dinner plate everyday and that frequently includes grandchildren as well as adult guests. They are very nice dishes. They clean easily and well in the dishwasher and are easy to load. They stack well. They are not heavy. You can use them in the microwave. We have had most of this set for at least 2 years and we have no stains and no breakage.Porcelain is wonderful

Perfect - matched my set exactly and was shipped to completely protect the bowls. I was a little hesitant to buy these online for that reason, but was extremely pleased with how these were packaged and even the sticker was placed on the bowl in such a way to make them extremely easy to lift off (rather than scrubbing a sticker off which is so annoying!)

I should have read the description better.
Very expensive for a single plate. I thought it was a set of four. I should have read the description better.

Muy caro para ser 1
El plato está hermoso y de super buena calidad. Pero la descripción está engañosa, por que dice 12 pzas y sólo llega uno
