When I first got this life jacket in the mail, I was very skeptical because it looked tiny!! I thought there was no way the sizing was correct. However, when I put it on my dog, it seemed to fit her quite well. It doesn't go as far down her back as the pictures show but it fits similarily to the other life jackets I have so I think it's the correct fit. My other life jackets for my dogs are just plain pink and orange. I like the little bumble bee accents on this one. It's adorable! We keep our life jackets on the boat in case of an emergency. We also use them to let the dogs swim off the back of the boat in the middle of the lake. I don't want to chance any of them drowning in 100ft+ deep water, even though they are good swimmers, so I always put life jackets on them when they are not near the shore. This life jacket seems like it will work great. I was able to pick up my dog by just using the back handle. The life jacket didn't come off her or do anything weird when I did that. My only complaint is the buckles seem to be put on backward. I have to twist the straps to get the buckles to work. It's not a big deal at all but it is something I noticed. Even when the buckles are on correctly, they are a bit tough to unsnap. I would say the buckles aren't the best but they hold the life jacket on the dog which is the main purpose so for that, they work great. The girth and neck buckles are adjustable. My dog seemed to be right in the middle of the adjustments. She's about 26lbs, very lean, with a long back. Shorter stout dogs may find the jacket fitting farther down the back than mine did for my little girl.

Pros: All the materials seem high quality and the buckles are adjustable with large velcro closures to secure the waist and neck areas. The design is very cute.Cons: The sizing hit exactly at my dog's weight and her chest circumference, so I was town between medium and large. I chose medium because her neck measurement is at the low end of that range (16.5"). The vest is far too small and the chest velcro doesn't come close to touching although the buckles can be adjusted to make it fasten. Doesn't seem like the intended design. I also have no idea how to fasten the little chin piece to the collar part. Lastly, all the buckles are installed upside down (they are directional) so the strap you pull to tighten or adjust the is on the underside of the fastener and hard to adjust. Also doesn't seem intentional.Overall cute design with some questionable fastening and function. I have a smaller dog that it does fit so if it works well in the water, maybe I'll order a large for my bigger dog.

Well put together. Cute design.Chin strap is removable.Handle on top, straps around neck and 2 around rib cage.Easy to take on and off. Dog seemed comfortable. We usually stay on shallow water on side of river, however was concerned he may swim out chasing something and get caught in an undertow or current. This provides me piece of mind he will still be safely attached to me by something I can pull in on, and help him stay afloat and not get pulled under if that should ever happen.

I got this in size large for my 40lbs male French bulldog and the belly strap is right up against his genitalia and looks like it a) will cause friction and b) definitely get peed on. Put it instead on my 60lbs sharpei mix and fits him just fine, he has a longer torso. The buckles are a tad difficult to fasten so if the dog is not particularly cooperative you might have a tough time. The chin float is detachable which is good because this is primarily going to be a Halloween costume for us not a swim jacket.

Cute design. I measured my Klee Kai husky's chest right at 21.5" and ordered the small based on the chart that said a small should do 22". It barely fits around her chest, and it's just the straps that go around her chest -- the velcro does not attach to each other at all. Probably should have ordered the medium based on the statement in the description, "If your dog's girth size is at the upper end of the size, we recommend sizing up for a comfortable fit." When I was ordering, this recommendation was non-sensical to me -- that is, if a small should fit up to 22", then it should fit up to 22", and I shouldn't have to order the side that starts at 22".Other than that, it works. The dog floats. It's cute on her -- my little husky bee.

Got the large size, which was a fit according to the sizing charts for size and weight for our 72 lb rottweiler/pit. There wasn't enough flotation to make a difference for her.Of course she looked ridiculous in a bee outfit, but she looked doubly ridiculous in one so disproportionately small for her. Looks like the same size shipped to her as in the pictured little dog.The advertised "chin support" was maybe an ounce of flotation under her massive head - no help whatsover and that's really what she seems to need.On the plus side, it is cute and highly visible. If your dog swims well already, it certainly makes your baby more visible in the water.

Well made, sturdy. Easy to take on and off. Adjustable. She looks cute running around as a bee. It took her a little bit of time for her to get used to it....lol. keep your pets safe around the party
