Yet Another Holiday Masterpiece
A philosopher was complaining that they all are just reselling old wisdom, without creating new ones. His friend responded that serving past truths and wisdom in the spirit and language of the present is a creation on its own.Ryan Holiday is such a masterful and dedicated creator of empowering and meaningful wisdom.

a reminder of the things that make a difference
Character matters. There is a right and just path - a way forward to create a better and more just way for those who depend on us, those who follow us. The stories and examples shared in this book can awaken the spark within us to do the best we can where we are to create a better world. A book to awaken our hopefulness into action.

What More Can I Say?
I’ve reviewed many other books by Ryan Holiday this same way; you won’t regret reading this. Ryan’s style of writing is entertaining and educational. You learn about the struggles and accomplishments of historical figures. And there life lessons tie into stoic lessons we can apply to our own lives. I look forward to his next release in the virtues series and I know I’ll enjoy the next one just as much. I encourage everyone to read this book.

Incredible read
Besides the subject matter, I liked Ryan’s conversational tone which made it more of a conversation and less of a lecture. I am amped to read more of his works.

Meh
I’ve read all of Ryan’s books on stoicism. Loved all of them. This one is a good read and I would recommend it. However, if you do not see eye to eye with Ryan on some political, many portions of the book will get on your nerves. The virtue signaling and wining is very prevalent. As always, Ryan does this in the best way possible but it’s still very prevalent in the pages. I almost did not finish it a couple times but decided to keep going. Will not be reading a second time. Writers can be very irritating at times lol I think they can forget that they just write and are not actually the people they are writing about.
