I got thus as an Xmas gift for my girlfriend and she's adores it. I got her the Nintendo Switch when it first came out and we've bought several games a year for it, and while she used and enjoyed it, the system would stay on its charger sometimes for a couple weeks at a time. Even when we got a new game it wouldn't be played more than a couple days in a row and 3 or 4 days a week. Since I got her this game she has the Switch in her hands anytime she has some free time to play. She makes a point of "visiting her island" (no idea what that really means haha) everyday as the game runs on a real world timer and there are daily tasks that should be completed. She can "visit other islands" and other players can visit hers, giving her a bunch of pride in the little virtual world she's made in game. I'm so happy I got it for her. She spends less time on social media (which is a good thing for any of us in these disappointing times) and spends more time on a hobby that really makes her happy. I highly recommend this game for Switch players of any age, from young kids to adult lovers of video games. It's an older game that's been out for years, but is just as great today as it was when it first came out, or better since they would constantly update the game over the years. The updates have stopped as the devs are gearing up to release the next installment, but don't let that keep you from picking this title up, as I believe the next installment will be on the new Switch console just announced. This game will provide endless enjoyment and activities to perform in game. If you are new to the Switch, this should be your first title pick up, and if you're not so patiently waiting on the next Switch and need a game that will help the time pass until the new console is released, then grab this one. You will not regret it. And it is certainly better to kill that long wait for the release with this title than it would be to freeze yourself in the mountains, relying on a friend to thaw you out when the new console is released. There could be an avalanche that causes you're friend to lose track of you, and you may not be found until many thousand of years later. Thrusting you into the conflict between the 2 societies of atheists batteling over who version of atheism is better while also having to fend off the ravaging sentient Otter society who believes that THEIR version of atheism is superior to both human factions atheism. Also, the Otters refuse to believe that anyone that eats off of a plate when they have perfectly good bellies to eat off of can't possibly understand what it really means to be an atheist, and can you blame them? With their cute little hands and pudgy potbellies perfect for breaking open shell fish and munching on them. And who knows how long it'll take you to convince you're friends in the past using the time machine prank phone to call them and get them to go digging through the ice and snow to find and thaw you out! And what happens if when you bet sent back to the past and merge with your past self so you don't mess up the time stream and you end up merging with an older version of yourself and instead of only having a few weeks to wait for the new system you end up having to wait twice as long as you originally did! It's better to just grab this very entertaining game that'll help pass the time in as much enjoyment as possible. Don't freeze yourself and become a warrior for whichever faction of atheists finds you first

Love this game! Fun to play for all ages, even I enjoy it and I’m almost 40. I like playing with the kids on the switch.

Spent all of summer holidays immersed in this world together with my son. Parent and child built simultaneous houses and really love this game. Can keep coming back to it over time!
