Works very well so far.
Very quiet and works well. I mainly bought it to stop the very loud click of my previous switch and I can now turn the bathroom light on in the middle of the night silently. With a CFL bulb, the switch would work as a straight on/off switch, but made a buzzing noise and bulb flickered a bit. Am now using a 100W ordinary tungsten bulb and this works well with no buzzing. This is my second purchase of this switch. The previous one stopped working after electricians tested the house wiring using 500V DC, it was only 2 weeks old then. This switch was the only item to be broken by their testing, so it may prove to be less robust and stop working in normal use - time will tell.

Brilliant product.
Took a while to arrive but this is a brilliant product. I fitted one for my daughter and it was so good I bought this for myself. As well as light dimming so you can leave it on low during the night, if you switch it on and off its virtually silent.

Do not buy this if you have long baths...... you have been warned about the issues with this please read
as an electrical engineer 15 years I bought this to replace for a bathroom for 5 x 50w an existing same type of switch that failed after 5-6 years this one has now failed after about 1 week of being installed due to being run for 2.5 hours and after taking apart to remove an see what had happened the coil inside had got so hot it had phyiscallly melted the pullcord mech, lucky for i killed the power to turn off as could not otherwise switch the light off.this had the potenial for a small fire had it all been left on much longer. i have not contacted the seller of this product as i consider it poorly made and personally dangerous and would never use a greenbrook product again.the unit is pulling 250w but the spec says it is good for that. i question that for short times maybe but obviously not for a bath for both of us about 2.5 hours.the quailty of this unit is not good enough now, but please draw your own conclusions. i would warn anyone not to buy this unit if you require it on for an length of time at the maximum wattsthere quoteThe maximum current capacity of the of the product is 250wnot to mention the waste of moneynow off to screwfix to buy a normal pullcord which will do the job.

Works well with my low voltage downlights
This seems to be a well made product and works well with my low voltage downlights. Just removed the old switch attached live, switched live and earth, that's it. Its quiet, which was the primary reason I got a dimmer and has additional neutral terminals in case you need it to run a fan. They loose a star for bundling the instructions for a shaver socket rather than the switch itself. However you can find electronic copies of the instructions online if required (google 'DIMPULL-C').

Quiet but doesn't operate my connected fan.
The product seems fine but I've given it only 3 stars because I couldn't use it in my bathroom where my old pull switch operates a timer fan that is connected to the light. I think it would work if I had different wiring but with only 2 wires for the switch, the light goes on and off but the fan just stays on the whole time!I only went for this switch because I wanted something quieter than the old pull switch and it is certainly much quieter but if it doesn't work with my fan .. well it's no good to me.I've since found a quieter, simple pull switch hat does the job fine,

Great bathroom light dimmer switch
We had a dimmer switch like this in our bathroom for about ten years then it stopped working. Quite difficult to find this replacement for it and nearly gave up, so really pleased when we found this. Turns out it is the same manufacturer so should serve us well. The switch is very positive and so far we're very pleased with it.

Silent on & off but buzzes when on
It works well, nice & smooth switching, not a problem to use or install.Has a neutral in & out as well as live in & out, but the neutral does not need to be connected to anything, if you do not have a neutral going to your switch, also an earth terminal, there for conformity reasons. The switching is 99% silent, however, we have a buzzing noise while on, I had to ask the ladies of the house if it would annoy them while relaxing in the bath as it would annoy me, they were OK with it.It sounds like the "50 cycle hum" but it is low on volume, if you have music on in the back ground, you would not hear it at all.Like a few people have mentioned they were fed up with being woke up in the middle of the night by the standard bathroom light switch making a noise throughout the house, this device will cure that issue. Other than the noise, its great.
