Mauboussin - Promise Me Intense 90ml (3 Fl Oz) - Eau de Parfum for Women - Oriental & Floral Scents

This smells DIVINE!!! Better than described. My 18yo daughter instantly fell in love with it. Having grown up in the Middle East, she really misses the oriental and oud fragrances that waft through the air like a security blanket of comforting assurance. As soon as she tried this, her eyes welled up and she gave me the tightest hug, repeatedly thanking me for bringing all of her best childhood memories to the fore with this smell. The bottle design is excellent too, with my daughter paying particular attention to the lovely spinning dial tastefully encrusted with several little diamanté. The longevity of the scent and its silage are second to none.

I bought this after buying Mauboussin 'Elixir' which is phenomenal via reviews on Fragantica Back to Fragantica website and saw this one had even higher reviews. It knocked me back on first spray a mixture of cherry tunes and femme fresh, not what I wanted or expected. Ten mins later on dry down I had a dry pot pourri black rose and a spicy woody leather with the subtlest hint of berry. This is not a sweet girly rose. It is a sophisticated, woody, dry semi masculine rose with a massive hit of wood and I absolutely LOVE IT. It smells expensive and slightly masculine and makes you think of Victorian dried roses, leather and wood with the barest hint of pink fruit to lift it just that little bit towards the feminine. If you want a sugary and young rose oud this will not be for you. If you are comfy with vintage rose fragrances and a massive smack of wood and a touch of berry to elevate it past the masculine then you will love this. It is a sophisticated fragrance for women who can carry a masculine and woody rose oud and might steal their partners rose oud by Tom F. For me this is like TF for men with the slightest touch of pink. I love it and as usual for Mauboussin being an authentic French blend it smells way more expensive than it is. I am thrilled with it. It's as rich and red and woody as it gets. If Tim Burton made a fragrance I think it would be like this.

I bought this without sampling. It didn't suit my skin (I'm olive) and I thought it smelled too masculine on me. It smells like an aftershave to me, so I offered it to my husband who really likes it! Long lasting

When first sprayed on the scent is lovely and if it had lasted longer then all would have been well. It lasted only around an hour!! I would not repurchase because of this. As it was inexpensive I guess it is a case of you get what you pay for. Pretty botttlr but no use if contents do not please. Having said that it may well suit others but I cannot recommend,

I bought this for my Mother. She is very particular about her perfume and currently only wears J'Adore by Dior. So buying Promise Me Intense by Mauboussin was a bit of a gamble. It was meant for Xmas but I asked her to open it early. She loved it and I have to admit the fragrance is very nice. It's described as an Amber Floral scent (Top note is Lychee; middle note is Black Rose; base note is Agarwood aka Oud). To me its like all the mens fragrance styles I love, which include 1 Million, Obsession, Montblanc Legend, Ultraviolet. Floral, slightly spicy, slightly sweet notes but not as full on as something like Poison. For those who don't know Mauboussin are a Paris luxury jewellers based at 20 Place Vendôme, which puts them in the same league as Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Chaumet. Like many luxury fashion brands they produce their own fragrances and I guess Mauboussin don't want their reputation to suffer so they make sure they have an appealing scent. At £26/100ml the fragrance is fantastic value for money. I can't see where they have cut corners because the packaging and bottle are fantastic, too. Mum straight away praised the bottle design and popped it next to her J'Adore.

Absolutely horrible. I cannot understand how can someone bear this smell. Gave me the worst headache I have memory of. If you like roses mixed with insence I guess you'll love it. It's a big NO!!!?

Loved this perfume, good price point, great musky scent and overall good value for money.

This was a blind buy for me. I was drawn to the interesting bottle design. For the price and amount it is good value however for me personally the more I used it the more I grew to not be that in love with this. This perfume is nice enough on the dry down but the opening note is so strong and overwhelming. It very much hits you like a brick and it personally reminds me of beer or rum so its definitely not everyday wear.

Härlig doft, behöver bara ta lite grand för doften är stark men behaglig.
