AquaBliss SF100 shower filter. Overall I liked it and recommend it. The kit comes well-equipped: besides the filter, it includes plumber's tape and spare sealing rings (O-rings), which really helps during installation and saves you from having to buy extra parts. The installation itself is simple. The difference in water quality is real. Over time your skin feels softer and your hair improves — in my case it took about five days to notice the change, but it did come. That matched what many other reviewers reported too: water that feels "lighter," less of that leftover residue on the skin, and less mineral buildup. My one criticism is about a small part that comes with it, similar to a little strainer/washer with a metal mesh in the middle. The product doesn't really explain what it's for or when you should or shouldn't install it. It took me a while to figure out that it goes between the pipe threads and the filter, helping with the seal and catching larger sediment. Clearer instructions would solve that confusion. It's also worth noting, as several buyers pointed out, that you should be generous with the plumber's tape to avoid small leaks at the threads, and that the filter needs to be replaced periodically to keep performing well. For the price-to-value ratio and the results in the water, it's worth buying.

I wasn’t sure if a shower filter would make a big difference, but I’m really glad I gave this one a try. After a couple of weeks, my skin felt less dry, and my hair seemed softer and easier to manage. The brushed nickel finish looks nice in my bathroom, and installation only took a few minutes. It works great, and I definitely notice a difference after every shower. I’d absolutely buy it again!

It is all that. It really works. It was incredibly easy to install. I grew up with a water softening system and what I didn’t know then that I do know now is they are pricey and I was very privileged. My skin and hair were very spoiled. Then being thrust into the real world of hard water and itchy skin and scalp. This shower head brought back all that spoiled hair and skin confidence. It works right away. It did not impact water flow. My only suggestion is when you are wrapping that tape 2-3 times maybe do 4 times. I couldn’t be happier. My skin is softer, my scalp isn’t itching and it definitely increased how far my shower products go.

Love this filter. Going on 4 months worth of showers and it still seems to be filtering the water like day one! I have used other brands in the past and I don't think the AquaBliss works any different. If anything I'd say its better. Stupid easy to install, came with plumbers tape and matched the finish of my Delta shower head. If you have poor quality water or notice your hair feels dry, this does a great job a filtering out the chlorine and other chemicals, leaving your hair feeling smoother. Would reccomend and will buy again.

The filtration aspect works well. Our water where I live has become noticeably more hard in the last year with mineral deposits leaving a film on things like the chrome handle and escutcheon for the shower valve and in a way that is no longer easy to clean. The residue is thick and crystallized on these chrome parts and feels sharp, but strangely on the “rubbed bronze” shower head we have the hose casing is coated in the same mineral deposits but it is like a powdery texture that comes off but only with a fine edge like the back of a box cutter razor blade or a finger nail. As you can imagine, this level of water hardness has been wreaking havoc on my skin, so much so that I was dreading having to take showers because of how badly the high concentration of minerals and chlorine in our city water strips my body of oil and dries out my skin to the point that I feel like a Stone Man from GOT. One day it was so bad I used ~ 6 fl.oz of standard Eucerin lotion just to take the edge off of how profoundly itchy my skin had become after a shower, and for weeks after my skin has yet to fully recover and this amount of body lotion use is just not sustainable, so I looked into it and learned about these shower supply filters that have become disturbingly mainstream in the last 5 years or so, and for the price it was well worth giving this filter a try. Day one was a night/day difference. I had slowly become so accustomed to how terrible our water is that the now filtered water actually FEELS different in the shower!! It’s silky smooth and just feels like you’re being spoiled. So for its purpose, this filter does its job 5/5 stars. The design earns it 4/5, and here is why. American pipe thread is tapered. The standard shower nipple elbow is 1/2” NPT (national pipe thread) and both sides are male threads. None of the female threads on the filter or its included extensions are NPT so what you get is a less than ideal seal. The kit comes with 6 screened washers, and I used 5 of them to make this thing work. When I tightened the filter directly to the 1/2” NPT elbow coming out of my shower wall, the female threads of the filter got all galled up. The only way I could make it work was to use an extension, install that alone to the pipe with screen washer and plenty of teflon tape (did plumbing for 4 years so I do know how to correctly use PTFE tape) then screw that filter onto the installed extension with another screen washer, then finish connecting the shower head and all. At least one extension and the input side of the filter should be 1/2” NPT rather than having straight threads and relying on PTFE tape and a rubber washer to hold it all together. I cannot speak to longevity but I hope it lasts at least 4 months. Durability is a 3/5. If it were a metal housing it would be too heavy, which brings my next point— this effectively doubles your leverage on the 1/2” elbow coming out of your wall, so be extra cautious when handling the shower head or handheld. Water pressure is unchanged 5/5 there. There’s a GE filter out there comes in chrome, don’t bother. This AquaBliss filter is less prone to leaks and that GE one cuts pressure by at least half

I had an old filter that made the water flow weaker. Removing that restored the strong water flow however i needed to filter out the chlorine content in my supply. Having been skeptical on this with the experience from the old filter, i tried it out. To my pleasant surprise it did not make my water flow weaker. This is excellent, for the chlorine filtering, will need some time to observe, but the water pressure alone is what makes this product excellent!

My shower head stream looks clearer and it feels good on my skin. I notice the difference of the water with using this filter. It's easy to install/attach to the shower head. I wish they have something this simple for the spray type sink hose.
