Easy to paint and keep the dragon motif. Also was able to edge the sword in a matching color. Look great! Im using them for decoration. They are a pretty sturdy wood, so I would not give them to children, they would be striking each other.

I bought these for my almost 4-year-old grandson. He had already destroyed the light saber ones I bought him previously, so I figured I would give wooden swords a try. They have been a huge hit! The set comes with 2 swords and 2 shields. The wood does nick with the hard swings but they have held up really well so far. We sword fight most every day. It has really helped with hand/eye coordination and logic, figuring out the next move to get thru a shield. I can't say enough about these and if and when they break, I will be purchasing more.

Although it is fun to play with, one of the swords have multiple dents from hitting the other sword. The hilt of the sword also becomes unstable and wiggly after use.

Grandkids love them. They enjoy battling and pretending.
