BOSCH D60498 Dimpler Drywall Screw Setter

I had a very small drywall job to do and don't own a drywall guy. So I decided to give this thing a try. It worked great! I first attached it to my dewalt 20v impact gun not giving it much thought and it didn't work very well because of the impact hammering motion. I drove the screws but too deep for my liking. I then installed it on a 20V compact Dewalt drill and it worked like a charm. I set the drill speed to max and went to town. The Bosch makes a nice click or popping noise once the clutch engages and its really easy to know when the screw is set. I only did 4 sheets of drywall so I can't speak for the longevity of the job but I have non clutch engaging drywall dimplers Dewalt brand and they do not work nearly as well as this. They drive deeper and are not as speedy in my opinion. I hope this thing holds up for my small amount of drywall work that I do. The only issue is that you must drive it flush and square or will have a problem getting the screw in all the way. Just user error for me. But its a great product and well worth my money.

Best tool I have used for sheetrocking. Have used a sheetrock screw gun and sheetrock screw bits and none of them worked as good.

I have used the Bosch dimpler and the Sheetrock one just to see if there was any difference. They are the same except Bosch's is blue & Sheetrock's is green. They do the job they're made for. In other reviews, I noticed some had issues with the plastic breaking. It's plastic. Too much abuse, no matter how long it's been in use, and plastic breaks. This was not my issue, though. My only issue, with BOTH dimplers, was the magnetic ring set into the tip. I hang/finish drywall for a living. I used both dimplers for about the same amount of time and the magnet broke in both which was the main reason why I started using them and they were pretty much useless after that. I'm doing a little research into it now to see if either company might offer replacement magnets. If not, I'll be looking for them elsewhere, if possible.

Passed the return window. This broke with 10 or less screws. A waste of money. Stay away from it.

Works good until it breaks but that was expected. It lasted longer than i expected but it broke around 70% of the way through a 12x24 building. If you need them you probably want to buy multiple or just buy an actual drywall screw gun.

In the past I have used the drywall dimplers that come in the 4 packs at the big box stores. They work ok, but quickly strip on the Phillips head side, and aren't great at driving drywall screws with a good countersink. I am doing a whole home renovation and have had to replace around 8 sheets of drywall in my kitchen and living room. This Bosch Drywall Dimpler has been amazing for countersinking the drywall screw the exact amount needed each and every time, allowing me to follow up afterwards with mud to hide the screws. The only way you can mess this up is if you don't drive the screw in straight. If you drive the screw at an angle it will causes a portion of the head to stick about the surface of the drywall, which you do not want, of course. I have driven hundreds of drywall screws with this so far and see no signs of wear on the bit yet. Great tool at a great price!

Worked well on horizontal and vertical surfaces.

Brilliant pice of kit, sunk the screws to the perfect depth without tearing the paper every time. I probably put a few thousand screws in with this and would highly recommend. Would advise to lubricate it after a bit of use as the mechanism can get slightly stiff and not work as well, but a dot of light oil or similar does the trick and it's as good as new. Obviously will not work well with an impact, use a drill only.

Works well, fair life @ reasonable price

A peine reçu, déjà utilisé ! J’ai commandé cet accessoire pour me faciliter la tâche lors des fixations des plaques de plâtres. Et j’en suis ravis ! Dès que la vis placo rentre et qu’il y a une certaine contrainte l’embout débraye et éviter d’abîmer la plaque. Plus le soucis de savoir si vous percez trop loin. Idéal pour tous bricoleur dans ce cas !

I was not expecting a whole lot, but this little tool was great. Put a 1500 square foot addition on my home. This little gadget worked as well as my Senco Autofeed gun. The Senco is good, but it's not my go to unless I can blow in long lines of screws without pausing. This little driver dimpled the paper without breaking it. I must have driven about 5000 screws with this thing. Still going strong. 100 percent satisfied
