Patience is a must.
This is OEM remote for 65EG9600 from 2015. All the other magic remotes have NETFLIX, AMAZON BUTTONS etc. They did not register. This one did not register at first. Turned TV off then on, de-registered more than once. Held exit button and then tried to register. Had to wait at least 15 seconds. It registered,and needed another 30 seconds. WORKS PERFECTLY. Pointer and all. Do not know about battery life, yet.

TV recognized it immediately and automatically updated software and then worked perfectly.

The remote is not functioning
The remote only worked for approximately one week and then it stopped working completely. For the time span the remote worked, most of the functions was not functioning. I will not recommend this to anyone.
