I have a Dyson Animal. When purchased new, the head that came with the machine doesn't have lights, that is great feature with this replacement, you can see what you are picking up. I also like that you can take the roller out very easy, all you do is push on the side and the roller pops out. Makes cleaning the roller fast and easy. I use my Dyson quite a few times a day, for quick and easy cleaning, this head can be used on floors as well as carpets, goes from one to the other with ease. I love the features of this head, can't say enough about them. Would highly recommend this replacement head.

Overall was a huge upgrade from the original head on the vacuum. Issues are it doesn’t always connect/power on when I’m trying to vacuum so I have to release the power and trigger it again sometimes multiple times. I also now have 2 years in the hose tube that the debris flows through. Got this in February and it’s currently June. Not sure if that’s a viable timeline for these to go bad. Wish I could get a replacement without having to pay full price since it seems defective to a degree

Great value! I put off getting a new one thinking it would be super expensive - but it was not! Plus it's way better than the original one - better brush and it lights up!! Don't wait to get yours - you too need to see how dirty your house truly is! 🤣🤣

This is not a Dyson replacement head, it’s an off brand head that fits a Dyson. They charge $40 because they can advertise it as a Dyson fitting product.I bought the Dyson that didn’t come with lights installed in the heads. This is an amazing add-on product as it shows all the cat hair, litter, specs of dust, and other small items that you may not be able to see. It fits our Dyson, however beware it is a little tight. I struggled to get the head on/off the first few times. I thought it was stuck at one point and then I realized it’s simply an extremely snug fit.As some other reviewers have stated, there aren’t as many brush rows so some items do not get picked up as easily. I have all tile floors so sometimes I have to go over an area more than once.This head includes a ‘stand up’ feature which locks the head in the upright position. It doesn’t have the strength to keep the Dyson upright by itself but it’ll keep the hose portion of this head from laying on the ground.Overall, this is a great product! I love the light feature! The price is just so dang high for an off brand product.

You can never be certain when ordering a non-OEM replacement accessory for a Dyson as to whether the quality will compare to that of the Dyson-made accessory. Sometimes they are cheap, poor replacements, and other times they seem like they could have been made by the Dyson folks themselves.Fortunately, this head replacement falls in the latter category; in fact, it may even be better than the vacuum head that I received when I originally purchased my Dyson V10 Absolute.I unpacked and followed the simple instructions to attach the head to the Dyson, then proceeded to use it in my apartment. Even though Dyson has a separate attachment for hardwood floors, I decided to try it first on my parquet floors, then on rugs and carpets. It was exceptionally good at creating a good vacuum seal in both cases so that it was able to get even larger pieces of paper and such, without effort.And here's the reason it might be even better than the original: The four LED lights on the front. I had assumed this was primarily a gimmick, something that looked impressive but had little to do with the actual use of the unit. I was wrong. On both rugs and floors, the lights effectively lit up every small piece of trash or dust, showing me where I needed to aim the head. I found it extremely helpful. My original Dyson head did not have these.Whether this head will stand up to the wear and tear of everyday use, I don't know. If it doesn't, I will definitely edit this review. But for now, I really love this item, and at a fraction of the cost of the OEM Torque Drive Cleaner Head, which it is apparently meant to replace, it's a deal!

Doesn’t work right. Don’t waste your time if you have been using a Dyson and you get this you’ll be disappointed. Just get the Dyson replacement

I really gave it a good try. I think this would have worked better on just hard wood but on carpeting, that’s a no go from this girl. No thanks! Returned.

We use our Dyson cordless vacuums a *lot* and have gone through multiple batteries and attachments. This is an excellent beater bar replacement head that even has a couple advantages over the original attachment that came with our D7. It is very dextrous and swivels more easily than the Dyson version. The bright front LEDs really illuminate the floor well. Other aspects may be a plus or a minus, depending on the type of surface you're using it on. The beater bar bristles are more plush than the original and the attachment rides ever so slightly higher from the floor. For this reason, we find this actually works *better* than the Dyson on hardwood and tile floors, more easily picks up larger debris (that the Dyson sometimes just pushes around), and can be used on thinner rugs (that the Dyson head sometimes sucks up into the rotating bar, jamming it). If you are using it primarily on carpet, you may notice slightly less downward suction (which makes it easier to push, but maybe pulls less deeply from the carpet). For one-third the price of a Dyson replacement head, we are very happy with this item.
