Works quite well. Holds charge
My Dewalt drill is still very functional but the batteries no longer hold a charge. I wasn't sure what to expect with these aftermarket batteries. I have been pleasantly surprised. They charge and work quite well. The only compliant is the release tabs can be at times hard to push in. But that is a minor compliant compared to the value of buying these replacement batteries versus the manufacturer's. So great value for you money. I have been using them for months and so far no significant loss of battery life.

Great battery at a great cost
These batteries were purchased to replace the original ones that came with a Dewalt power drill and screwdriver set. They were shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. They required a short period of charging and they were good to go. I have only used them for a short period of time but they seem to hold a charge. I will update if there are any issues. I had communication with the seller and they seemed very willing to stand behind their product and were very professional and engaged.

1 hour battery life.
I tried to contact the seller, but the links to the seller do not function. We use 18 volt Dewalt batteries every day, all day. We do the same thing every day. There is minimal variance in the Dewalt tools that we use, or the length of time that we use each tool. Standard Dewalt batteries typically last about about 6 - 7 hours. These batteries only hold a charge for about 1 hour. Don't waste you money.FOLLOW UP: The seller contacted me and they were very understanding. They offered me two new replacement batteries, but I already purchased two more batteries. As soon as I told them this, they offered to gave me a full refund - which they did.

Super buy - but fix and avoid the reported downsides...
Great price for the highest capacity available, especially compared with the DeWalt alternative. The primary user posted complaint is easily dealt with and may even be a positive - the tight fit in the charger and the tools. My observation is that the tightness is not caused by a plastic housing misfit but rather by the slightly oversized electrical contacts inside the new battery as the result of a larger radius bend in the metal. This results in a very snug electrical contact when pushed into the charger and the tools. The (best) fix is very easy. Acquire a tube of dielectric grease, clear and electrically conductive, apply it to the new battery contacts and tame the otherwise intractable overly tight fit problem. The contacts remain snug, important for a low voltage, high current application, ie. the tool. Be sure to use the right grease. Any other lubricant may mess up the sysem. Obtain it at any auto parts store for about $3.00. The lifetime supply can be used elsewhere by the do it yourselfer (which you obviously are, since you own, at minimum, an expensive battery powered drill). As for battery life problems, the first use cycles can be critical. Charge it up, use it, but do not discharge it till the tool stops working, and do not load it excessively for the first several cycles. NiMH batteries require (minimal) initial conditioning and overly aggressive first use cycles may destroy individual cells in the battery (usually by overheating, and subsequent mechanical and chemical damage) which is evinced by an inability to subsequently fully charge and/or retain charge. (One simplified explanation is that the capacity of new individual cells are not balanced at all, and a cell will 'drop out' long before the others, resulting in an undesirable electrochemistry imposed on that cell, causing a premature failure.)On the other hand, you may acquire a lemon and the problems described by other commentary cannot be fixed or prevented.

Super fast
The batteries arrived earlier than expected. I charged them up and was able to use them right away. They worked perfectly.

Very Disappointing
I charged these up overnight and put them in my drill. The first one drilled a few holes before losing power. Second one the same. I read that it takes a few charging cycles to get them up to power so I recharged them overnight. The first one (in my Dewalt circular saw) cut six inches into a piece of 5/8 inch CDX before crapping out. The second one gave me another two inches. I'm charging them again. Tomorrow I will probably send them back.Update...I asked for a return on this and asked for replacements. They came and I had the same problem. Went to Home Depot and bought a new charger for $65 and tried to charge all four of these. Nothing. They are ALL going back.Oh..and to make matters worse, for some reason Amazon requires that these be taken to a UPS store in order to be returned. I couldn't just send them back like everything else at Amazon by taking them to a regular UPS place...it has to be a store. Our closest store is 25 miles away.Worse customer experience I ever had.

Does not last long on a charge!
I bought 2 of these batteries about 5 months ago, and I use them several times per week. First off, I figured these batteries would not be as good as DeWalt batteries, just because most after-market stuff in general is junk. So I didn't have high expectations. And they are definitely not as good as name brand. They work fine in all my tools, but the use I get per charge is very short. I can cut no more than ten 2x4s in my cordless saw before the battery dies. I'd estimate they're about 1/3 as good as a normal DeWalt XRP battery.Second, they are not NiCad; they are NiMH, which are like the first generation of rechargeables, and not as good. All the AA NiMH batteries I've used at home in the past were disappointing. These batteries recharge freaky fast too, which is a sign that there's not much to them. In my normal charger, it goes from dead to fully charged in about 20 minutes; while a normal battery takes over an hour.In short, don't listen to the advertising; it's baloney. You pay little, and you get little performance. You spend so much time getting out the charger and switching batteries, that you get less done.
