The most important to know is that you learn by doing, and Designed by You shows you how. You can do it too.
The thing I liked best abut this book is it's simplicity...even I can understand what Tamara is speaking about...and she adds such cute silly things to add to the interest. But yet, the book is complex in that everything is so well explained. You start with her tutorial about drawing, and end up so many ideas on technique and style etc. Of course, everyone loves the photos....that goes without saying. I can't think of anything I DON"T like about the book. I bought two copies and sent one to my friend 2,000 miles away. She was so enthused about the book that she immediately went out and bought double sets of pencils, erasers, sketch books, markers, etc, etc...and sent me half of them. We have fun sketching and talking about our art, and compare them through emails. So much fun. So much instruction in the book, and so much to learn.Thank you Tamara....we have had many, many hours of lovely inspiration because of you. I love your friend faces so much....they inspire me.

Tiny writting
The book is good but the writing is very small so hard to read.

ok seriously, could you make the print any smaller. had to wear glasses and dig out the magnifier. print is really tiny.

I wasted 13. 00 for nothing
It was the same thing I got with my camera. I wasted 13.00 for nothing. I need a manual that tells me how to set my setting and how to use the camera in general. Would like to have a refund for this item? Thank you
