This charging case for the iPhone 15 Pro Max has plenty of power to give the phone an extra burst of power when needed plus it protects your phone as the same time.It does add more bulk to the phone so I only use it when I know the phone may not last on a long day hiking or cycling or if I want to leave the main charger behind.When you insert the phone into the case there is a USB-C plug in the bottom that fits into the charging port on the bottom of the phone, so you need to be careful not to angle the phone too much. The top of the case can be bent back so you can keep the angle shallow when inserting and removing the phone.The case has a soft feel to it on the outside which helps with grip and you don’t feel like it will slip out of your hand. The front edge of the case is raised slightly above the screen so there is some protection is you place the phone face down. On the rear there is a pronounced bulge where the battery is about the same thickness as the phone itself.With the case on the phone you press a button on the rear for a few seconds to start charging. Also the button can be used to stop charging. This allows you to control when the case charges the phone.The case has a magnet built into it which not only attaches firmly to any MagSafe accessories such as wireless chargers but also charges the phone if it is a charger. This, however, does not charge the battery pack, only the phone.If you plug a charger into the charging port at the bottom of the case then this will charge the battery pack and the phone, if it is inserted in the case, with the phone taking priority over the case.With a 10,000 mAh battery, the case has just over twice the power of the iPhone 15 Pro Max so the phone will have more than three times the running time that just the phone has itself which is great for long days or when the phone is being used a lot for viewing videos or using maps.
