Yummy Ramen & Stir-Fried Rice Cakes for a Quick Lunch of Asian Street Food
The media could not be loaded. What a fun package surprise this box of yummy Asian street food would make for someone away from home or who needs a pick-me-up treat! I’d definitely would have considered it for my college age kids back in the day. The box is very cute with its O’Food Box label, as well as a cool brochure listing all the interesting products available. We loved the logo: “One food to cook them all.” Also included is a card saying ask us anything about recipes or cooking.Today my spouse and I tried the Seaweed ramen; also the Original Tteokbokki, which I’ve never had before. The instructions were easy to follow for both and the lunch turned out very well. My middle son chimed in this afternoon expressing an interest as he fixes a lot of Korean food from scratch.Ramen: the directions are in the tiniest font and hard to find among all the larger print about ingredients and manufacture. The ramen are made in THAILAND, by the way. Really liked the seaweed ramen flavor and the noodles are a good texture! The ingredients are not bad for a ramen kit (we ignored the very very high sodium for this special meal). Served in real bowls, the paper bowl got mushy. Also included in the box are bowls in seafood, kimchi, and spicy kimchi flavors..Tteokbokki (stir friend rice cakes): Each pouch contains two packets of solid, tube-shaped rice cakes and two pouches of sauce. (The rice comes in plastic with a “do not eat” packet for freshness. Fortunately, I noticed as I tried to open the “do not eat” and pour it on top.) You add 1/2 cup water (need add translation of 120 ml to the text) and cook for 4 minutes until it thickens, watching it doesn’t burn. When ready and still hot, I added some chopped kale and a piece of fresh ginger for fragrance. Made in SOUTH KOREA. Also included in the box are garlic and sweet chili pouches. The flavor was good, a bit sweet; quite spicy, but not overly hot. Just right for us. FYI, these rice cakes are chewy/sticky. We liked the kit.Our only complaint is about the transparency of the source of the ramen: Thailand. It’s fine with us, but the web description mentions the word “Korea” at least 20 times and it’s misleading. Also a little pricey, although the Ramen are large 3.7 oz. cups. Still, we enjoyed ourselves so much, we figure others will also. Would like to try the sauce box someday.

Good quality Korean food
The street food bundle comes with 4 cups of Korean instant ramen and 3 bags of easy to prepare tteokbokki. Prior to trying this, I've never tried this brand before. My usual favorite brands of Korean instant ramen are Nongshim, Ottogi, and SamYang so I wasn't expecting much since I thought it was a generic brand. I was pleasantly surprised. The quality of the ramen was comparable to the brands I love. I wouldn't say it's better, but certainly comparable. My favorite was the seafood flavor. As for the tteokbokki, it was pretty easy following the instructions. Tteokbokki is a type of rice cake. It's chewy and similar to the consistency of mochi. This is the first time I've tried making instant tteobokki and it came out great. The seasoning was good, and the tteoobooki was soft and chewy. Overall, I think this is a good korean food bundle, and a pretty good value as well.

A Fun Introduction To Korean Food
Sometimes you want to try something a little different. Eating dinner can become monotonous and you envy the different fancy meals you see online in TikTok or Pinterest. This box is a really great way to try something you're not used to without too much stress!I was curious about the quality of the box but I have to say its really great! The sizes of the Ramen Soups are large so you're going to get one good full-size meal out of each of them. You get a good variety of flavors as well as Tteokbokki in three different flavors. I've never even heard of it before but I'm excited to try it!I appreciate the clean neat packaging, the detailed booklet, and the explanations of the foods as well as other options they have available. I'd definitely check out their other products because I really like how they presented everything.

Korea in a box
There's something really special about walking down the street in Myong Dong with endless street food carts. Every imaginable type of food being prepared, sold, and eaten as you meander in and out of the stores and more street food stands. The crowds are thick, but moving almost constantly, and everyone is having a good time. When I saw the O'Food Box Korean Street Food Bundle I had to try it out. Everything looked great, and was fresh. I gave it to my wife, since she's a Korean from the old country, and knows whether or not this stuff is authentic. She tells me it is really good, and it is authentic. So, if you can't go to Korea, get this street food bundle, and have the next best thing.

The street food bundle is delicious!
I got the street food bundle and it was really good. There are a few different kinds of ramen and then a few different flavors of Tteokbakki. Everything that came in the box was really easy to prepare, it didn't take long at all. The ramen is really good, I especially enjoyed the seafood one. The spicy kimchi was pretty hot! The different flavors of the Tteokbakki were great. I had never had it before and I actually appreciated the texture of these meals. One thing I really liked is that the shelf life on these is pretty long, so you don't feel like you have to just eat them all super quickly before they expire or anything. I would recommend getting these boxes, they were pretty delicious.
