Awesome Flash for my NIkkon! I've been shopping around for a external flash for my NIkkon for the past year. I was looking for the right price and decent quality. This exceeded my expectations. Adjustable settings, and works like a charm...I'm actually surprised how much I'm using it! The subjects of my indoor photos are not getting that washout out appearance for using the factory installed flash on the camera. If you are an amateur/ intermediate photographer, but want high quality photos...this is a must-have for your camera bag!

Much better than I expected it to be for the money. Amazing customization options. TTL works great to set power and zoom (may require reseating every once in a while). On full power, it can washout pictures. For a beginner, I let the auto settings do the job.

When I bought this and opened it, I hoped to quickly learn how to use it. I was trying to read the manual that came with it. The first half is in Japanese. And the second half is in English, but obviously written by a Japanese who has a poor understanding of English. The equipment looks nice; I hope to learn it. Despite the manual.After attempting to use the manual, I am about to give up on it and look elsewhere for some on-line help with this product. The very first words of instruction (in English) are:"AF-Assist illuminatorWhen working under a darkness condition, the automatic AF which is in the right ahead of the flash light may temporary project red hard light to assist focusing. It may disturb the subject, you can turn to manual focusing."A page later, in explaining how to turn the speedlite off, the manual states:"After automatically shut off the power opened, When the speedlite do not working within 60 seconds, the CPU automatically into hibernation."I have typed this exactly as it appears in the manual. This is ridiculous.I am giving the product a four star rating because I had to give some rating in order to continue. The equipment looks nice, and has good reviews, so I am hoping that it lives up to my rating. If I ever learn how to use it.

Really great value with lots of features. I posted a youtube video (search Neewer 565) explaining some of the basic features since the included instructions are not very good. The flash has worked extremely well for me. Good exposures and way better than the built in camera flash. I don't think you can do better for the price.

Great flash for the price. Using it for studio floral shots. I also own a nikon sb-700, but use this speedlight more because of the sync port.The navigation isn't initially intuitive, but the directions are simple and easy to grasp/remember. I'd recommend this speedlight to anyone

For the price........you can't beat it. No documentation that an english speaking person can understand. Go online for videos and instructions.

Thanks to a lot of videos on YouTube, I already know how to use it. It is very effective at a small cost.

This flash works, but is inconsistent. With one of my lenses (the 35 mm f/1.8 prime) it works great. With others it doesn't, it overexposes badly. It's worth a try if you make sure to test it with all of your lenses in time to return it if it doesn't work.
