Younique Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lash Mascara transplanting gel and natural fibers

To begin with, I'm not a representative for Younique and this review is based on honest experience with this product I received a week ago. Several websites and youtubers are buying this product and giving reviews but most of these are well experienced with makeup and are able to manipulate the representation, I just wanted an everyday fibre mascara for long lashes. I'm constantly looking for new mascaras in particular; ones that are most effective. So I did some research and I found this product was one of the main ones which was most positively presented, along with images and I can tell you are well over exaggerated!I began to use the product instantly when I got it. You have to apply your own mascara before applying which increases the process. The gel is what seems to make the eyelashes 'extend' and the fibres thicken the lashes. However, I have semi small lashes and I found this product didn't increase the length massively, the fibres make them look thicker which is the illusion people are playing on to sell this product in my belief.After applying the first coat I got a massive puddle of water under the eyes which was black and smudged. My eyes streamed for the next hour or so. In addition, I found my eyes burnt for the next 6+ hours because they were so irritated. Theres no way to prevent this as the fibres are too small to see to even attempt to get out of the eyes.The product is good for night outs and such but definitely not for eyerday use, the pain is too much for the eyes! There's risk of damaging the eyes by using this product everydayOverall, the product is good and does make you lashes look thicker. It doesn't extend the lashes to how most websites are presenting them too - this is an exaggeration! If the price is not too expensive for you and you don't mind irritated eyes throughout the day, then I would recommend this product. I personally wouldn't pay this price again for a product which has the effect of a good quality mascara of a quarter of this price.

I was recommended this product by a friend. To be honest I was a bit dubious because over the years I’ve tried various lengthening/volumising mascaras with limited success. My natural lashes are ok but they’re blonde at the tip and not particularly long - just regular lashes. The first time I tried this I read the instructions and because they said you could use your own mascara underneath I tried it that way first. Results weren’t particularly amazing so I was a bit disappointed. The following day I decided to try it without my mascara as a base coat... wow what a difference! You do 1 eye at a time. The “gel” is black and just looks like regular mascara but a bit thicker and stickier. You then put the “fluff” on and build it up, followed by another coat of gel. It’s easy to use and the results are really good, by far the best lengthening mascara I’ve ever used. I use it every day now! I’m a contact lens wearer so I was a bit worried about putting the fibres near my eyes but because you put gel on top it seals it all in so it’s just like a normal mascara. It hasn’t irritated my lenses at all. I’m in my late 30s, never worn false lashes but have in the past bought into the “false lash effect” mascara. This is by far the best, I’m a convert! Worth the money, very happy with my purchase. Only slight downside is it takes a little longer to do on a morning - only about 4-5 minutes for both eyes though so it’s not much. Give it a go, you won’t be disappointed!

After watching many videos on how amazing these fiber lashes are, I decided to take the plunge and order them. I wont be buying this product again. What the videos on this product DON'T tell you is that after the first couple of applications, your fiber lashes start to drop and you end up with fibers in your eyes and all down your face, and eyelashes that just don't look nice. (I only apply a minimum of two coats) I have tried several ways of stopping my lashes dropping, Ive curled them and put on a small amount of my normal mascara, as instructed to in the booklet. Ive also tried waterproof mascara, to see if that will help keep my lashes curly, but nothing has worked.The more you use it the more fibers get stuck to your gel brush, which as you can imagine gets a bit disgusting after a few applications, and you end up with two fiber brushes instead of a Gel brush and a fiber brush.Ive now good back to my tried and tested make up routine with my normal mascara, and if i want a false lash look i will go buy some false lashes.

Love this product, it's amazing!! Other people have commented that this product is a lot of faffing, but personally I don't think it is. You can build up as many layers as you like to satisfy your personal taste, but I find 2 coats is plenty for me, and I usually apply 2 coats of 'normal' mascara anyway so it's no real difference. You do get a fair bit of the fibres on your face/around your eyes whilst you're applying the fibres but they're easy enough to wipe away...and as the end result is well worth it I don't mind that at all!I used to have eyelash extentions in the search for the perfect eyelash's but I don't feel the need to do this anymore with this product.

Excellent product if you don't want to faff about with false eyelashes.....just be careful if you are a contact lens wearer.....it's fine but if you have to take lenses out an put them back in whilst wearing the mascara be aware there could be some fibres - although they aren't particularly uncomfortable

I have used Younique 3D mascara before and this isn't it!! It is a fake made in China. Younigue would have come in a black box and the tubes would be all one colour. This product came in a cellophane bag and the tops on the tubes are a noticeably different colour. Now look if I had paid a fiver I wouldn't be complaining but this was 17 pounds. How they get away with using a brand name is beyond me.
