20 Pot Automatic - Easy setup. Works well. Timer a little confusing and not enough tubing.
Setting up was easy. The AC1 timer (Also known as AC Plus) is plasticky but feels reasonably sturdy. You unscrew the battery panel, insert 2 C Size batteries (not included) and screw the panel back on ensuring you don’t lose any of the rubber seals provided. You then attach the timer to your tap with the provided threaded fittings and attach the pressure reducing adaptor to the bottom of that. The tubing feeds out of the adaptor. You get a reel of tube (15 metres) that you cut to lengths with scissors and push connect together with the adaptors supplied. You use them to branch off the pipping to your pots as needed. At the end of each branch just push on a Dripper stake and stick it in the plant pot soil. When the water is flowing you get a nice constant dribble of water direct into the pot.All parts have good seals with no leaks. Only problem is, 15 metres really doesn’t go a long way. You may need to buy more. The AC1 timer itself is a bit trickier to work out.You have 3 coloured sections on the dial.RED – For Manual watering.GREEN – For ‘Auto Start’ timed watering periods.BLUE – For ‘Auto Start’ predefined program watering periods.RED Manual allows you to override any ‘Auto Start’ settings and simply turns the water On and Off. It also has an option to stay on for 60 minutes (no idea why).GREEN ‘Auto Start’ timed watering periods has options for 2, 5, 15, 30 and 60 minutes. Once you’ve set the ‘Auto Start’ time, it will turn ON for this period of time and turn itself OFF again.BLUE ‘Auto Start’ predefined program watering periods has a set of 8 predefined schedules that you cannot edit but are kind of useful e.g. On for 10 minutes every 12hrs. On for 2 minutes every 6hrs etc Again, you need to set the ‘Auto Start’ time first.SETTING AUTO START TIME.In the Blue section of the timer is an option for ‘Auto Start’. To get the Auto Start to work you first need to turn the dial to this position to set the time.At the time you turn it to that position, it remembers it. So if you want to water your plants at 7am, you need to get up at 7am and turn the dial to that position. Note: That you don’t get any visual indication that it’s worked, but it does.ONCE THE TIME IS SET, THE TIMER WILL MEMORISE IT. YOU DON’T NEED TO SET IT AGAIN.Once you have set the time, just turn the dial to the Green / Blue Auto Start watering period you desire. So if you want to water you plants for 30 minutes at 7am. At 7am, turn the dial clockwise to ‘Auto Start’ then turn it back round anti-clockwise to the green 30 minutes option. If you then turn the dial to Manual ON/OFF, you can override the timer but once you turn it back to one of the Green / Blue ‘Auto Start’ watering settings it continues at the last time you set.If you subsequently want to change that time you need to turn the dial to the ‘Auto Start’ position at that new time.Overall, all good. I’d give it 5 out of 5. There are better timers out there with more options but for the price of the kit, it’s pretty good.

Download the instructions easy to follow.
As it’s for 20 dribblers the 15m hose just about gets you the first one, needs to be 30m at the cost of it. But it does do what it says on the tin,

Patchy results
The kit is a decent starter but I didn’t have enough hose for my application - not the fault of the kit though. Timer works well but I am finding that the drippers are a bit random - some work really well, water streaming out, others are basically not doing anything, even on the same line / same setup. I need to investigate that a bit more. I think my conclusion is that this is fine for small setups of restricted length and similar heads of water, but longer runs need bigger supply pipes.

Drip watering system for greenhouse
Seems to work well. Looks complicated and took a bit of thinking through but is actually more straightforward than it looked once I’d actually worked out what I wanted from it. Does take a few hours to set up but seems to work well - the test will be whether my plants are alive when I get back from holiday!

Easy to set up
Bought this to keep my plants alive for a week while I was on holiday and it did that perfectly.Easy to set up, although if you want it to go at 6am every day you physically have to set the timer at 6am.Definitely recommend giving it a practice run to judge how much water comes out as I overestimated this and would've drowned my plants if I hadn't looked.

Replaced under warranty but only last a summer
The senor I purchased in 2019 seemed to work well for the first summer, I then uncoupled and put in my large dry shed at the end of the summer. In 2020 then sensor failed to work I called hozelock who replaced immediately. At this stage I purchased a second to add to my irrigation system and again put in a nice large dry shed until summer this year 2021.In 2021 both the replacement and the second one I purchased sensors failed.I looked back at my orders from Amazon and noticed in 2019 when I purchased my first sensor timer there were 2 other reviews about the sensors failing. Clearly i didn’t see that. When I queried this with hozelock he replaced the last purchase only which was received in3-4days.The irrigation pipe work has expanded and contacted until I now have most of the spurs leaking quite a lot and for the last week had to be switched, off several times due to complete failure and loss of water.Clearly these hozelock sensors have a problem lasting only 1 summer. My timers were attached to an out door tap west facing, the irrigation pipe work does go round the south facing house but covered by climbing plants.I clearly can not rely on the hozelock sensor timers or the hozelock irrigation system while I’m away apart from plants dying the cost of water loss could be significant.Hozelock said they would pass all this information on to marketing. I have now purchased another 2 sensor timers from another famous company, just got to renew the hozelock irrigation system now.A very expensive experience and one I will not repeat.

Worked before I went on holiday...wasn't by the time I returned
Easy to set up, and worked fine for first day or so. Went on holiday and something has stopped some of the drippers working. The T shaped connectors are okay ( starting to leak now ) but the straight connectors are hopeless and I couldn't get them to stop leaking ( poor design)Overall an okay way to water plants but a bit hit or miss if each dripper works

Ce n'est pas le bon programmateur
Le descriptif n'est pas bon. Sur la fiche je devais avoir un programmateur avec fonction crépusculaire et aube, et je n'ai qu'un programmateur 24h. Je vais m'en contenter mais c'est limite.
