Most comprehensive mapping.
This is beautifully presented map which has the added advantage of marking in all of the walks from Charles Davis' "Walk the Costa Blanca Mountains" so it makes the perfect companion to that walking guide. The scale is 1:40,000 which is more than adequate for needs and is mapped on both sides, thus covering a huge area. There is a 1:20,000 scale map available but obviously it doesn't cover as many walks and the use of colour coding is not as effective as on this map. This one also benefits from more recent mapping and the use of GPS. The printed material is claimed to be durable and certainly we had no problems but I fully intend to put this claim to the test of time in the future, as this is a wonderful area in which to walk. Roads, tracks and all other communications are clearly marked as are the contours which makes it easy to see where the steep bits are. It is very easy therefore to recommend this as an essential purchase if you plan to head into these mountains.

Invaluable aid to wonderful walks
Detailed maps of these mountains are hard to come by - so this map is invaluable. Now we can tackle the navigation with confidence.Only slight downside is that the map stops at Relleu and doesn't cover the mountains in the west of the Costa Blanca area (North of Alicante) - maybe scope for another map to go further west and include even more wonderful walks such as the Cabo d'Oro?

Excellent map of the Costa Blanca hills
Just what I needed for my recent walking holiday in the Costa Blanca, and also very useful when in the car too.The only drawback, and no fault of the map, is that it stopped 2 km short of where we were staying and didn't cover a couple of the walks we did. We didn't use the map in co-ordination with the associated book, but had sourced some walk descriptions from elsewhere, so can't comment on how well the two work together. I wanted a detailed map of the area in which we stayed and this suited us very well.

Perfect partner for the book
I already had the book Walk! the Costa Blanca Mountains by Charles Davis so this was the obvious accompaniment. All the walks are marked on the map with the numbers of the walks in the book. Both together have shown us so much more of the Costa Blanca than is seen by the those that never stray far from the bars of Benidorm. The super-durable texture has proved itsself extremely useful on rainy days (yes, it does rain on the Costa Blanca occasionally), avoiding the soggy torn fold points that I am all too familiar with walking in the UK..

It's not up to OS map standard, but it's the closest you're going to get.
It's not up to OS map standard, but it's the closest you're going to get. If you want to explore the Costa Blanca Mountains you would be lost with out it. Most foot paths are clearly marked.

Excellent Walking Map of the Costa Blanca Mountains
Excellent walking map covering the walks in the guide book Walk! the Costa Blanca Mountains. All the walks are marked together with the official PR routes in the region. If you are visiting the region and like walking I would recommend buying. There are other guide book available and only some of their walks are covered. If you are staying north of Benidorm then it is still worth getting.

... using this map and it is still in a good condition. Although it is a double-sided map
My wife and I have now made two holidays using this map and it is still in a good condition. Although it is a double-sided map, the overlap between them is quite large so there is little need to keep flipping the sheet over. The detailing makes the map actually really useable. We have other maps and books by the same publisher and always find them great to use.
