Got this to replace a Netgear N300 repeater, which just didn't work well from the loft when our router was on the ground floor. This WiFi device plugged straight into the machine, no driver installation required (Windows 10) and we're getting faster data transfers with a 5 bar wifi signal.

Worked brilliantly for a few weeks, then just died.Completely useless now.

Product seems fine but it did nothing for me. I'm on Win 10 and did the install correctly with the latest drivers from the website. No better signal. I'm on quite a new gaming laptop so the build in wifi adapter is already pretty good. This will only improve your speeds if your using older tech at the moment.

I had a netgear wifi ethernet extender which gave me about 2mbs on upstairs pc (I'm getting 15mbs on the hub downstairs). I had my doubts about this sumgott wifi dongle and it took me 2 weeks to finally take the plunge. Well after a little fiddling about to get the right setting suddenly my pc burst into life (with 15mbs) like never before. This really works and it has transformed my upstairs workstation. BRILLIANTUpdateMy pc would not start a month ago and I contacted support who diagnosed a possible hard drive failure. Cutting a long story short turns out that it was the dongle. My pc (Chillblast i7 clocked, SSD boot drive 32gb ram) doesn't like the dongle on startup. It's fine if I remove the dongle to start pc and then plug it in. A small annoyance but dongle still very much worth having

This item was purchased so the computer could be moved to another room. Gaming was a key feature and the ability to continue with the speed of the existing broadband.This product does the job. The speed has been maintained and it was easy to install. It was excellent value for the price paid and best of all less wires to worry about!!

I've been loosing connection sometimes. But sorted it out after updating drivers north bridges etc.. :) If u cant find them. Use Iobit driver booster. :)

I have a Mac without a CD drive so can't use CD for downloading the drivers. Nothing in the manual to assist. Can't find a website for manufacturer Sumgott. There is a website referred to on Amazon where you should be able to download the driver but this doesn't work. Avoid!!

The idea is great, but it’s not easy to install, you need to install the drivers! It’s therefore not plug and play. Also the signal isn’t that strong. I unfortunately had to return this item.
