Excellent Headphones, I waited a while to review these headphones. As a professional singer you need great headphones when you’re recording. These give you a great sound play in your ears.

You can spend a lot of money on headphones. Fine if you're Dr. Dre or a Premiership footballer, but most of us aren't. These cans have been industry standard for a LONG time and they're actually in the price range of mere mortals, so why spend so much more? If they're good enough for most studios, TV stations, and movie studios, they must be good.

I really like these headphones, I tried a set in a recording studio and had to get some to use at home. They sound great.

Been using these headphones for years... exceedingly rugged. Great to have all sorts of spares available. Most headphones you have to toss when something breaks. With DT100s you just keep going... This is the first pair I owned, all others have been used in place of work. Audio Quality? They can be beaten on audio quality, but are good nevertheless. It's the quality vs ruggedness that makes them the sound recordist standard...

Excellent clarity. When using the 400 ohm version make sure your amplifier output is sufficient.

No. I previously gave this headset a good review. But... they've CHANGED it. Its no longer crystal clear, and no longer has any bass. I thought there was something odd about it getting bad reviews when I thought it was fantastic when I used to own it, years ago. Got a new pair and it was aweful. It wasn't just psychological. I did some tests. I had a song that used to sound really bad on my old pair because the 'p' sound was so boomy from being too close to the microphone. On the new pair, all the boom was gone. So it was definately the headphones. These headphones USED to be the best for monitoring. Now... avoid. They used to be crystal clear, because they emphasized quiet sounds, making monitoring easy. They no longer do that. So the point of these headphones is gone. You can't hear the bass and you can't hear quiet sounds. So why monitor with them? You wouldn't want to use them for normal listening because they're horrible. And you wouldn't want to use them for mixing because the balance is wrong.

Only problem is the cheaper cable used on the newer version tends to tangle easier than the original DT 100.

最近のヘッドホンにない心地いいアナログ的な音で気に入っています。 ヘッドバンドが大きく頭の横に大きく飛び出して少々不恰好です、大きく重い為若干頭からのズレが気になりますがヘッドバンドの取り外しが簡単にでき、無しの状態ではズレは全く気にならないので問題はありません^ ^

tremendous attention to detail, comfortable to wear, sound is great, as expected. Just love my headphones !!!

these headphones are not for audiophiles that like heavy bass headphones to listen too. They are rather a working tool for professionals. These are also Known as the yamaha ns-10s of headphones, which i believe is because of the nice detail they reproduce in the mid range. The sound on these is flat but i like it.

Compared to the DT 770 they are alright.
