You use so little on a full wash it lasts ages. It cleans well and so far has not made the plates etc smell doggy. Only downside is the smell, use gloves to handle it.

I have had an expensive auto-dosing dishwasher for five years. It died after a year of using this liquid detergent.The dishwasher is designed to be used with liquid detergent. It has a large detergent tank so I only had to fill it every 2-3 months. It worked fine until recently it can no longer be turned on. The repair engineer discovered water ingress from the detergent tank and found the seal around the tank was chemically damaged. He concluded that the liquid detergent was too aggressive and not suitable for domestic machines. DO NOT USE IT FOR DOMESTIC MACHINES unless you have good insurance coverage.As to the performance of the detergent, it does not perform as well as the gel type. It definitely won't work well with ECO settings (or low temperatures). Industrial dishwashers usually use a high-temperature rinse process to dissolve the dried food remaining which makes it easier for the wash cycles, which is not very economical for domestic use. The scent is also not very pleasing.

This comes in so much cheaper than the Finish, All in One Gel I've been using for the last 2 years.I was concerned by a few of the write ups about the smell etc. There isn't one, so let's dispel that for starters. Also, the people that have no idea what they are actually doing and are placing this manually into the wash by putting it in a tablet dispenser!!!!! It is for the auto dosing dishwashers ONLY.Whether this is for professional dishwashers or not (I'm still unsure), if you have an auto dosing dishwasher, this does the trick, and it does it a lot cheaper than the few variants for home dishwashers that are out there. Great buy!!!!

Finish dishwasher liquid is absolutely amazing. No more teacup stains and it cleans to an amazingly high standard.

I bought this huge tank of Finish Liquid Detergent, excited by the prospect - as per another review - of not having to buy any dishwasher tablets for two years! I'm now stuck with this giant blue canister taking up space in my cupboard for 10 years as it won't be used.I did give it a try.- DispensingAfter unscrewing the cap, I was greeted by an incredibly powerful waft of bleach. That, plus the warnings on the label depicting this substance disintegrating someone's hand reminded me that extreme caution should be exercised when using this product to avoid being irreversibly scarred.Dispensing the detergent into your dishwasher is not easy - the container is just not designed for pouring small measures required for a single dishwasher cycle. It has now neck nor does it have a pop out spout like the kind you'd find on a bottle of motor oil. Using the kitchen sink, I transferred a couple hundred mls into a clear plastic bottle. Despite being ultra careful, the liquid still managed to drip down the side of the bottle. I poured a small amount of the liquid from my little bottle into the dishwasher's table dispenser and closed the flap. After closing the dishwasher door and opening it again, the stuff had leaked.- ResultsThis detergent did not work well for me. After the cycle was complete, the dishes were clean but stank of bleach. After a few more attempts, I noticed that the glasses were starting to get foggy.- ConclusionIn the end, I poured the little bottle down the toilet and reverted back to dishwasher tablets. For the home, the tablets were safer, more effective and easier to manage, so if you don't have an industrial dishwashing machine this product is not fit for purpose.

Fantastic at cleaning - you really only need a small amount of this stuff to get short or standard eco washes clean and shiny (not surprising given what it was designed for). Much easier to use decanted into an old Finish Gel bottle - worth noting it is a runny liquid (like water) - rather than a gel. Bit of a chemical smell if you open the washer straight after the end of the cycle (I'm personally not bothered). We sometimes drop in a bit of lemon Finish gel, but it doesn't do a lot about the smell to be fair. It does seem to hold the runnier professional liquid in our detergent dispenser in the door a bit better though.

It was not thicker that I expected while the brand is one of leader group under this category, you are expecting a better product but it leaves white chalky mess all over glasses. it's cheaper for a reason.. It may be ok for restaurants, bars where if you don't mind to see spotless cleaning.
