Well made and solid ASP

I paid 49$ for this generic collapsible 26” baton; I tested it on an old truck tire; after 3 forceful strikes, the baton did not bend or break, BUT, the joints loosened, so that another strike would not have been possible.I repeated this test by collapsing then throwing out the baton to full extension, locked in place! Same result, only this time, the end portion bent just slightly; the baton wobbled and, when held vertical, point up, it just collapaed into the handle.For this price you could buy a branded baton by S&W; that will be my next purchase, and I will put the branded one through the same test.Clearly, it is very dangerous to have a baton not stay locked while striking!

This item (by seeing it used in a movie) is operational by a swift motion downward to extend its length. The should have told one that but no operational instructions are enclosed.

Great product and great quality

This product was to be used for self-defense when riding motorcycle. The product did not come with a manual or instructions. Extending it the first couple of times, the product worked as described; however, on a subsequent use, the three sections would not retract. Tried numerous times and methods to retract. Went on line to find instructions, but the instructions referred to a manual that did not come with the product. After numerous attempts, the sections finally retracted. Worked the baton over and over to ensure it would continue to extend and retract. It needed a very light coat of oil to solve the problem.

its awesome ... the ONLY issue is its confusing to close it back up.. ya cant just push it closer ya gotta hold it at an angle and close it if that makes sense

I hate to be so harsh in a review but it must be said. Take caution when ordering. This item is a single use item if you can get it to work that is. Already is falling apart.
