I know Melissa and Doug products can seem expensive, at first. However, once you see how long they last, how much your child loves it, how consistent their products are, and how readily available they are, you won’t want to buy another brand. These “coloring books” work just as described. The “paint brush/marker” has a storage spot right on the cover. I will admit, I had to tape ours back on because I hastily ripped it out because my daughter (and myself) were excited to try it out when it arrived. Works great on trips and when child wants to do coloring and you have to work on household/work assignments. It keeps them busy, no damaging furniture etc, and they can keep coloring over and over. I love the fact that it is mess free and great for traveling

My grandson loves these. It took him a bit to figure them out, but since it is so straightforward, he was successful. He is just over one year old and it’s a fun little project he can do.

This is a great activity for anytime theres no school or camp, or if you're in the car, it's a no mess. Brings out their creativity and lets them color how they want. All you need is a little water and it doesn't drip all over the place. Highly highly recommend. It's a lot of fun.

This is a great activity for kids that is mess free! It is the perfect size to pack when going out and you need something for entertainment for the little ones. I have bought multiple versions of these and my daughter loves them all! It’s great that they are reusable pages too, once they dry you can color again!

So, I will just way first, my son who is almost 3, LOVES THIS! And honestly so do I! It's mess Free, which is great cause my son can be a mess maker and I love that it comes with a brush pen that you twist to lock in place. I think for the price It's definitely not bad. I love that it can be used over and over. My son is definitely testing it's durability. It's holding up well so far. However, I'm noticing some slight flaws. Some drawbacks so far, is the pages are slightly warping already....Which considering it seems to be a thick pressed board, this is to be expected. He's colored in each page at least 8 times already and we just got it. Another drawback is it only has 4 pages....I wish it had more. I didn't read the part of it only having 4 images, but that's okay. I just wish there was more. For the value, not bad. The biggest problem I'm noticing, is when my son uses the brush included, if he goes wild with it, the big plastic, water brush scrapes the image and scratches the white off and exposes the colors underneath. I think in the future, I'm going to use a bundle of wet q-tips when we're at a restaurant to prevent scratches. I'm definitely going to need more. *please note, these scratches were due from my son using the water brush, the book came in new condition.*

Great for on the go and plane rides for toddlers! Easy to use & love that it dried to reuse the same pages!

I got this because I was going on a roadtrip to the mountains with my toddler and I knew he would get bored and fussy if he was in the car for 3.5 hours with nothing to do. He's really into coloring right now, but the idea of having crayons dropping left and right and getting lodged in the seat was a no go. This was perfect. To get the "paintbrush" to work, you just unscrew the parts and fill the tube up with water, then screw the cap back on. That gives you enough water to "paint" most of the pictures in the book. The book was small enough that it could sit easily on his lap, so he painted away for a good thirty minutes without getting bored. The brush was thick enough that it was easy to hold in my 18 month old's hand. He LOVED the dinosaurs and would gasp when the water revealed parts of the pictures that weren't already outlined. The book also has little scavenger hunts where you can ask your toddler to find different images, but my toddler is still a bit too little for that, so we just talked about what he was seeing as he colored since I was in the back seat with him. I plan on purchasing another one of these for his Christmas stocking. This is a great no-mess gift for little artists learning fine motor skills, and a fun thing to throw in a diaper bag for entertaining kids on the go.

Nice to paint with

My daughter is so obsessed with these, I just need to buy them all. She used to draw in the walls now this keeps her busy and because it’s just water it doesn’t mess up anything. The only negative thing is that she sucks the water out sometimes and you must keep filling the pen. After a while of her pressing hard and banging it, the water comes out a bit fast but she still enjoys it. Also great for a distraction when they hate getting in and sitting in the car seat!!!!

Love these and constantly have given them to friends children for presents (and have been appreciated). Perfect toy for restaurants, cafes, airplanes where you need the kids to be quiet and entertained.

Can’t wait to use this on our long haul flight for 17.5 mth old!
