How long are these clippers?

From memory about two inches, I bought them for a friend so don’t have them to measure

Is the glass thing a nail file? Doesn’t seem to have much friction.

I don't use the glass nail file.from this kit but it seems ok for light filing I use a lead crystal Leighton Denny file for serious nail filing.it is amazing to use.

Is the cutting edge flat or straight?

The cutting edge is slightly curved making it easier to trim nails along a curve. These cutters are superbly made, easily the sharpest and best I have ever had.

Are these hand nail or toe nail clippers

Well they are larger than I expected but honestly too small for toes. I use mine for fingers and they cut so easily which I love because I have arthritis in my hands and not much strength. I am really happy with mine and would recommend these clippers above most others
