Q: Has anyone had a cat actually chew through the tubing? Also, is there a non-scented version of this size tubing somewhere?

I used this to protect my computer charger cord. The smell is very strong when you first put it on but it kept my cat chew-baby away at first. The smell still bothers me, even after a year or so. I finally used a freezer ziplock bag, double bagged it and stored it away in a drawer when I'm not using it. My chew-baby must have gotten used to the smell (I discovered her before she could do much damage) which is why I store it away when not using and shut my bedroom door when I am using it. She is persistent.

Yeah. It works. I have a four-cat family and one is a half-Siamese heck raiser, and she is a wire addict. It's like having a parrot. But this stuff really works, prevents the chewing. I just wish I could get REELS of it...not just the small package quantities like this, at this price. It has to be on EVERYTHING I've got, and that makes it expensive!

Q: Does the smell go away soon?

I still smell it. Not quite as 'hit you in the face bad' like before, but if you are within 5 feet of it, yes you can smell it.

Q: Is this item easy to use?

Very easy..it's a hollow tube and has a slit and all you do is slip it over the cord you need protected.
