The loop broke off my Expedition key, and I only have one key so I can't program another. My options were 1. Pay out the nose at the dealer for another key and then again for another transponder key to be cut and program the third myself, 2. Have a regular non-transponder key cut and hide this one somewhere in my steering column and forfeit the transponder lock as a security feature, or 3. Figure out how to not lose my key and put off getting another. This thing fit the bill and the budget perfectly. Fit my key perfectly! Super quick and easy to put on. Doesn’t slip off or move once together. I can still start my car as normal

Good product. Good quality. Tried to use it as is, but like other folks noted that can make using the key challenging. You don't have the range to push it into a lock or ignition fully, move it freely, and extract it. I put the key into the case, pushed it towards the buttom/opening ans drilled a small hole just above the key. That did help. But even snuggled up, I still sometimes struggled to turn the key on the ignition. Sounds strange but it's an issue. Would recommend this still. It seems durable. It's soft leather. And it doesn't look too bad. Just be mindful and patient when you use your key in this case and you'll be fine.

I bought this because the plastic piece on my ignition key broke and I could no longer fit it on my key ring. It worked great for about a week. The first thing to come apart was the rivet that holds the sleeve together with the loop that connects to your key ring. As these things do, it came apart without my noticing and I didn't know until I reached for my keys and it was loose in my pocket. If I had been able to find the rivet, I might have been able to put it back together. Since I could not, I had to slip the key ring through the holes in the sleeve where the rivet would have been. The trim on the edge has also come off. Technically, it is still usable as it is. But I can tell that it probably wont last the next few months. I just received a replacement key that I had made using a machine in the grocery store. I still think this was a good idea and with a slightly different design it might last a lot longer. But for something that gets used every day, it isn't going to last very long.

Purchased a used 2008 Ford explorer with a broken key fob. Fits perfectly! Have to push it into ignition a little but it works! And it saved us $$$ 😊

Had to most insane latching mechanism ever. Tiny screw with flathead on one side and Phillips on the other. Would have given five in had had a simple snap latch Edited. Lower to zero. Screw will not hold. Falls apart. Out of hundreds of products this is first zero of my life Update screw fell out. Unable to refasten. Trashed. Lower score from three to one

It was great at first and I was sure the quality was good but I noticed a few weeks after purchasing, the leathering is showing quick signs of wear. The cheap pricing is definitely reflecting the quality. So far however, the key cover is still functioning well.
