Last as long as my OEM batteries
I've had nothing but good experience with these batteries on my Makita drills. They cost half as much as OEM batteries, provide as much or more power - and last as long - about 18 months. Definitely recommend

Not bad for the price
Overall I'm pretty happy with these batteries. The vast majority of my tools are Milwaukee but I did recently pick up the 36v Makita Rear Handle Saw and wanted to have a few extra batteries in case the ones that came with the saw were charging. I couldn't justify buying OEM since it would be a rare occasion where id actually need to use them. These fit the bill perfectly and are priced affordably. Upon receiving them I put them both on my dual bay rapid charger and they charged up without issue. When used in the saw there is no discernable difference between these and the OEM 5ah batteries that came with it as far as power goes. They mount perfectly in the tool with no wiggle and stay secure throughout use. The only difference I notice is that even though these are listed as 6ah, they actually run out of charge a fair bit quicker than the OEM batteries. Not a huge issue in my situation as they serve as backups, but something you should consider prior to purchase. Overall not a bad pickup, would recommend.

Capacity as advertised. Fitment is correct.
I have a lot of Makita 18v tools, so additional batteries are always welcome.A bit heavy for use with hand tools, such as an impact driver, but not all that bad. The tool is balanced enough so that the additional weight doesn't affect usage that much. And you could likely use it for days without needing a charge. The larger capacity batteries really shine when it comes to higher/constant demand tasks. And there are several useful products coming out that use these batteries as a power source. To test it, I made sure it was fully charged, then I connected it to an LED light that can be attached to it. The math said it should work for 4 hours, and that is almost exactly how long it lasted. Charged back up fine with my OEM Makita fast-charger.Longevity remains to be seen, but to be honest, I don't find that to be an issue with aftermarket batteries in recent years. If there is an issue with aftermarket items (not limited to batteries) it is that they can sometimes not match their listed specs when it comes to amp-hours.Fit is snug and correct, both on tools and on charger. Fits just like an OEM battery. There are any number of these in the same price range. Most likely are equivalent, and for good reason. I will say that these meet expectations, and some batteries in the past have not.

Great replacement for OEM Makita 18V batteries. They work fantastic in all our tools!
These 6Ah off-brand Makita 18V batteries work really great considering the price of OEM batteries. At the time of writing this review, a pair of OEM Makita 6Ah batteries are listed with a price tag of $199, and a pair of these are $69. These batteries end up costing around $35 each compared to $100 each of the OEM Makita batteries.A couple months ago we ordered two off-brand 6Ah batteries similar to these and they proved to be great in operation and price. We put them to the test on a recent deck build, and they had great duration as they are 6Ah batteries. The 6Ah batteries are the largest capacity batteries for the Makita 18V tools. The length of time that they operate is fantastic in all the tools we've used them in. They have effectively powered our Makita drivers, drills, multi-tool, jig saw, circular saw (these even work in the old circular that will only accept Original Makita 3Ah), router, and 36V blower. There is always the question of longevity, and to that I can only say, “Time will tell”. Of course we all must take note of the wise words in the product promotional description!:“Although the durability and performance of this product is not as good as the original battery, it is recommended because it feels the same as the original battery.”Well, who are we to argue with that?…they’re winners!I will definitely get more of these in the future if more batteries are required; these are great alternatives to the Makita OEM batteries.

Charging Issues, longevity
Right out of the box, these batteries look 100% fine. I immediately gave them the hardest possible test I could, which was putting both of them in my leaf blower, which takes 2x18v batteries, and letting it sit on my garage floor on full power. They lasted about as long as other batteries I have lasted, I don't want to get too specific about the actual runtimes (OK fine, ~7m 15s) compared to other 6ah batteries and instead address the charging issue that I have.I have two chargers, one is a dual-battery slow charger, and one is a single-battery fast charger. These batteries won't charge in the slow charger, but will charge in the fast charger. Both chargers are OEM Makita. So while I was able to run them down at full power, charge them (individually) on the fast charger, and then run them down again with similar results, I have to warn potential buyers about charging incompatibility. If you have a charger that refuses to charge these batteries, the batteries themselves may still be OK but there may be a compatibility issue.Update: the batteries have developed a problem where they will charge, and as soon as the charger decides they're at full charge, the voltage apparently drops low enough that the charger wants to charge them again, so it puts a charge on them and then determines that they're charged.... Repeat... If you have one of the musical chargers, it will be playing the "charge initiated" and "charge complete" tunes in a loop. Maddening. -1 star. The batteries still perform well enough. I'm not taking it easy on them. Their power output is lower than comparably rated batteries that have 4 years of hard unrelenting use, but they do work and haven't started any fires yet.

Good Generic replacements.
No complaints from me, they fit and work well with my Makita cordless tools. There's no question that, these are a far better value than the oem. I highly recommend these for anyone who works with a makita based workflow.
