Very solid performance and surprisingly bright even in conditions with some ambient light.
I have owned the Aurora Pro for a little over 7 months now. Overall, I have been very impressed. Below are a few of my thoughts. Also, for reference, I paired the Aurora Pro with Nexigo's 100" Fresnel screen and the setup is in my basement which has large windows. It is not an extremely bright space, but in no means a dark space either. - Background: I was coming from only using long throw projectors in the past. I really wanted the ability to have a UST where ppl didn't have to worry about walking in front of the projector. I also was sensitive to the projector not sitting too far away from the wall. This projector checked the box on both of those. -Performance: out of the box was really impressive. I don't quite have the expertise as many of the reviewers and other users out there around calibration, but I found colors to be quite good out of the box. The only change I often make on each startup is the focus adjustment. It's a quick adjustment, but it would be good if it could save that adjustment. - Support: I have found the various AVS forums to be very helpful in addressing any questions I have with the unit. Nexigo is often on those forums as well seeking feedback and looking to make their product better which I thought was a very good sign. Early products are hard and I could tell from their engagement that they truly wanted to deliver the highest quality performance possible for all customers. -Sound: The speaker actually is not bad at all. It's workable, but I would think most ppl looking to spend this much on a projector have a separate sound system and that's going to yield the best results. -Overall: I would recommend this projector. It has performed very well and especially with higher quality content it really shines. I am easily able to watch sports and such during the day with some of the basement lights on and I don't find the image too washed out. The picture is really quite amazing with lights out. One of the hardest things with the setup was actually finding a table that worked well with a UST. I ultimately want with crednza from Sauder.

Immersive. Dimensional. Stunning.
My video speaks for itself! Unbelievable picture. The clarity is stunning. The depth is jaw dropping. It is 3D without glasses. So much dimension. If you are hesitating on buying - don’t! Easy setup and connectivity is simple. You can move the projector easily if you want to move between wall and screen. The remote is sensitive and must be pointed just right. Great price for what you receive.

Not a Smart TV
Really breath-taking level of detail! I have it projecting on a 100" screen that is designed for it (came with it). So clear! Love those HD films on it. Worth the money, but... BUT: All it is, is visuals: you'll need a stick to stream, an HDBPlayer to work any physical media. It does 3D--but have 10ft or more to appreciate that aspect. Some software adjustment was required. Bottom line: WORTH the money 💰

NexiGo steps up to resolve the Issue.
Update: I was finally contacted by NexiGo with an effort to resolve the issue. They’ve agreed to match the original promotional pricing and refund the restocking fee that was unfairly charged. It appears they are making a genuine attempt to correct their earlier mishandling of the situation and align their customer service with the quality of their product. While the resolution came much later than it should have, I do appreciate the steps they’ve taken to make things right. I guess being a smaller company does contribute to delays in resolution. It was a shame that it had gotten to the point of such frustration in the first place, but I’m updating my rating from 1 star to 4 stars to reflect their willingness to stand behind their product and address the issue. Original: 'Zero accountability - just policy parroting' I purchased the NexiGo Aurora Pro short-throw projector over the winter holidays and immediately ran into problems. After less than two hours the projector began overheating, flashing a warning message, and shutting itself off. I reached out to NexiGo in mid January, explaining the issue and asking about their return policy, since Amazon wouldn’t let me request a direct replacement. Their first reply simply quoted their 30-day return/1-year warranty policy with a link to Amazon’s generic returns portal. Because Amazon’s system didn’t support “replace with the same item” for this projector, I had to buy a second unit out of pocket to replace the defective one, losing holiday discounts that were applied to my initial purchase (which I was ok with). I then returned the defective projector, sending Amazon proof of the overheating warnings and perfectly intact packaging. That should have been the end of it, I thought. Instead, Amazon forwarded my case to NexiGo, who promptly slapped me with a 20% restocking fee claiming I chose the wrong option as my return reason. As our conversation progressed they began insisting that actually the projector’s shell was “scuffed” then saying it was “smudged” then “stained”, shifting terminology on every email. During this time I kept in contact with Amazon asking them to arbitrate. Amazon reps were escalating this issue several times, which their supervisors skillfully fumbled each time by a copy/paste message of “Customer incurred a restocking fee for an item. Please assist the customer”. The supervisors couldn't care less. NexiGo continued to refuse to acknowledge the defective nature of their product, despite my original report prior to the return, me buying a second projector in good faith, and my subsequent photos of the warning screens.Their “support” is nothing more than scripted policy regurgitation - no empathy, no solutions. Bottom line, I’ve ended up spending over $2,700 on the replacement projector - for that price, I could have purchased a far superior projector elsewhere, from companies with real customer service backing up their product. What NexiGo did felt like consumer extortion. Their support team treats customers like adversaries, tossing around policy jargon instead of owning their mistakes. DO NOT BUY projectors from this company. Their hardware might be nice, but when it fails you will end up in a mind numbing loop of unhelpful reps, shifting excuses, and unjust fees.

Bright sharp image and great sound built in
Pros: Super easy to set up, and great user interface for keying in the image. Great refresh rate and color, with deep contrast. Audio is amazing considering it's built in. Build quality is really nice and well thought out. Considerations: In my configuration I mounted to the ceiling which is ideal for keeping dust off of the lense, however the threaded mount holes are aluminum so be careful not to over tighten, I would have liked to see steal to make sure it's fail proof. The remote is actually really nice but does use up it's batteries fairly quickly (4-6 months) from backlighting I suspect. But once they are low the range for the remote drops dramatically. Which is handy to tell they are low but also annoying when buttons don't seem to work. Overall I would buy this product again without hesitation. It has been flawless in delivering an amazing home theater experience.

Good quality, but buy with caution.
This is my first projector and I was impressed with the quality. I paired it with Elite Screens Aeon CLR3 123" UST ALR Projector Screen. The projector was fairly easy to set up. During the day, due to light spilling from windows with neutral shades, the quality appears washed out. However, once the darkness falls, it is magical. The most surprising aspect of the projector was the sound. I have not yet needed to add my home theater system. The user interface is too slow. I use Apple TV, which enhances the experience. My biggest issue with this projector is that it is a pain to configure the image. I am unable to find a cabinet of the right size to place the projector, and it stands out quite noticeably. I called a few AV installers, and they don't have experience with this projector. It's been a year. Before buying, be 100% clear on where you will place it and which cabinet will work; otherwise, it will not pass the wife test. For the pain I am going through, it's not worth the money. Customer service was the least helpful, although they were responsive.

Firmare updates have improved things greatly
I originally purchased this projector at the end of 2023, when it had just released. The contrast was beautiful, the picture was beautiful, but I had issues with motion handling in 24p content, with some pretty out of control stutter and judder, but it was early days, and the firmware was still in its infancy. Since then it has had a few firmware updates that have drastically improved not just the motion handling, but made it an overall better projector entirely. Leaving MEMC disabled, and counterintuitively also disabling 24p mode has made a big difference in smoothing out the motion, and I'm a lot happier about how it handles movies and shows, which are pretty much all in 24p. Although I'm not a fan of MEMC, some are, and that seems much better as well. I no longer notice an inconsistency to it, there isn't that stop and go feeling that there once was. The latest firmware update also gave us some new features, which let us control colors and contrast even more, and let us dial things in further. A low latency mode was also added, which I'm seeing improved input lag from, and I leave that on by default. As far as customer service and quality control is concerned, my first unit did have an issue with the fan, but was promptly replaced. My replacement unit then developed a split screen issue that Nexigo wasn't able to replicate. It took some time for that one, but eventually they did send me a replacement for that too. With all of the improvements I felt it was important to take a second look at the Aurora Pro, since Nexigo has addressed most of my concerns.

Great product, but probably only last until the warranty runs out.
White dot after one year. Contacted Nexigo. Put the hassle on shipping the device and Charge $350 the replace the DMD. DMD device is under manufacturor warranty for 5yrs between TI and Nexigo. It's cheaper to replace the chip yourself. Great product. Terrible long term support.Don't purchase.

Stunning in a dark room
I've had a projector since 2006 - first an epson 720, then a panasonic AE3000 1080, which unfortunately blew up a couple of years ago. Bought a cheap £160 one off amazon to keep me going until I could save up for a 4k projector. What I found is that there is always a compromise in a projector - you get a huge screen but comes at the expense of colour / brightness or focus etc. The Panasonic was lovely, but had quite a soft image, whereas I prefer a sharper image. Did a ton of research over the last year and ended up with the Nexigo Aurora Pro - mainly as I have a completely dark cinema with no windows so although not the brightest, it's perfect for a dark room. Also, I wanted a UST to better suit the layout of the room. Initially I projected onto a painted white wall and can honestly say it looked absolutely stunning. Anyone saying you "need" an ALR screen is simply wrong, you don't. It may be better, but the wall projection is perfectly acceptable. (I did end up getting a Duronic 120" screen more for aesthetic reasons than necessity). In my living room I have a 55" sony oled, and honestly, the picture from the Nexigo is comparible. I'm no expert but it is genuinely stunning. Sharpness is incredible, colour is nicely saturated. Brightness is perfect. Setup is easy, simply plug it in, and line up the image. The sound from the unit is good, but I already have a 7.1 / 5.1.2 atmos setup through an Onkyo home cinema receiver. I was worried about the dreaded "rainbow effect" but thankfully it is absolutely minimal - sometimes can be seen when I walk out the room and I am moving across the picture, but when I am sat watching, it is not an issue and I am very susceptible to seeing it. Sound levels are much lower than my old Panny, which was incredibly loud and the fact is is now 4.5 m away from us means you barely hear the fan noise at all and I am running in brightest mode, you can minimise the fan noise even more by using normal, or eco modes. I think my only gripe is the remote is a bit unresponsive, you have to point it direct to the unit and even then, it doesn't always register a button press. All in all, a great bit of kit 10/10.

Nichteinmal einfachste Statusinformationen (z.B. An/Aus, gewählte Quelle).
