4 Stars, with a bit of a stretch.
UPDATE-EDIT: After having worn this for a few very long walks I feel to report on a fact or 2; it doesn't have anything for supporting the foot, just the ankle, and for my needs, that foot/arch support is crucial. This has given me severe Charlie-horse cramps in the arch and toes, so as good as it does support my ankle, it also aggravates my foot immensely. I'm going to keep using it until I can get a better, proper one from the facility that provides my knee and wrist braces - I just cannot wear it for very long distances, to the mailbox and back is pretty much the limit, that is just under one-mile round trip. The only way an honest 5-Star could happen is with a custom-built specific to my body, so 4 is pretty good; I judge these braces and supports harshly, bad fits, poorly made stuff can often do more harm than good. My life is one of living in 4 braces, the ankle brace since '08, I'll need them for the rest of my life, so I am well positioned to evaluate many braces. The design concept in the way this one is open at the back is the best "On function" element I've seen/used on any - it saves a lot of tugging, yanking, pulling, unrolling edges that happens with a normal slide-on, toes first styles; the front lace-up styles are what I've settled on for years now. For myself too, being this easy is huge because my left hand and wrist are braced too, and I usually have to put it on 1st so I can then get the others on.It could stand stiffer hook/loop straps and sticky, and a 3rd strip in between the 2, at least for better fit for my body; I have the capacity to add such myself, modifying store-bought devices is something I've gotten pretty good at, so it's not a real issue. The knob tighten concept is one of the best redesign concepts that I've seen yet. I don't know what the actual tensile strength of the wire/cord - whatever it is - but it feels rather light duty; when I'm tightening, cranking the knob, it feels like I'm going to break it. Most of that is probably in my head, I have a hard time accurately sensing torque and pressure in my hands/wrists/fingers, so I can't actually say my perceptions on that are accurate. It is exponentially more prominent in my left hand.I don't think this could actually crank down to the tightness I'm used to from other braces, at some point the cord length plays out, all it has. That doesn't mean that in itself is a bad thing, the metal in the sides secure the ankle laterally well; tight enough is also on the edge of too tight, and constricting the blood flow can't be allowed, so a built-in "limiter" can make sense. This one has enough going for it that I'm going to be able to replace the old one and really put it to the tests. Guaranteed, I'll edit this review if/when it becomes necessary; also, if it excels in some surprising fashion, I'll report back for that.

Decent brace for certain types of injury or inflammation
This ankle brace from Cozyhealth works best for lateral stability. I've worn many types of braces after many foot injuries. The injuries involving the Achilles tendon would not be helped by a brace like this one, for example. The dial mechanism is a great idea and works well for now. The cord seems so thin that it's hard to imagine it would last a long time. This isn't a brace that I could wear with shoes or sandals. But for indoors while elevating or sleeping, it's very good. The material is soft and comfortable. It's a good design and great to have for supporting the ankle and offering some compression too.

Some inaccuracies in listing but good ankle support
This ankle brace gives great support to my ankle. It’s got a cool mechanism for tightening it. You strap the brace on to your ankle first and then twist the knob to the tighten the strings to the desired degree. Then you just pull out the knob to release the string. There are a few inaccuracies in the product description to keep an eye out for. First it says it can fit either ankle but it also comes specifically labeled for the left or right side. I ordered the left. I’ve tried it on the right and it seems to fit ok except that the knob and straps are on the inside of the ankles. Also, I tried followed the sizing guide and measured my heal to ankle circumference as shown but I got 12.5 inches and the table only goes up to 10.5 inches. I ordered the large and it fits my ankle well but it’s pretty loose in the foot area no matter how much I twist the knob. I wear a size 8.5 women’s shoe for reference and now I’m wondering if the chart is meant to be shoe size.I’m recovering from a sprained ankle and wear this brace around the house for support and stabilization. It is too large and bulky for me to wear it under a shoe or even with flip flops so it’s not practical to wear outside the home as described in the listing. I would not be able to hike or play sports wearing this as I could not wear a shoe with it.Overall this ankle brace is good for my purposes. It provides good support, compression and stabilization when used without shoes.

Promising Concept, Lackluster Execution for Ankle Support
When it comes to ankle support, especially for high-impact activities like running or hiking, a reliable brace is indispensable. I was initially drawn to this Ankle Brace with its BOA-style attachment, a feature I've enjoyed in other products. Unfortunately, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. While the product appears to be made of good quality materials and is easy to put on, its comfort and functionality are questionable at best. The biggest issue I encountered was the distribution of pressure from the BOA-style cables. They tend to exert pressure in odd places on the ankle, making the wearing experience quite uncomfortable. It feels like you have to overtighten the brace to feel the "support," but that comes at the expense of comfort. This becomes especially problematic if you're planning to wear it for an extended period or during high-activity sports. In summary, this ankle brace could serve as a temporary solution in a pinch, but it's not something I would rely on for long-term use or during sports activities. The idea behind the BOA-style lacing system is promising, but the execution failed to provide the level of comfort and support one would expect from a high-quality ankle brace. For those with chronic ankle instability or frequent high ankle sprains, I'd recommend looking for another product that delivers both comfort and effective support.

Measure carefully to get the correct size
I really like this ankle brace. I have a broken ankle which is starting to get better. I’m tired of my big knee-high boot, so I ordered this brace. I measured my foot and ankle carefully and ordered my size according to the chart. It fits well. I like that it has an adjustable knob to fix the drawstring to my size. There are also two Velcro-type straps. The drawstring is made of what looks like fishing line so it should be strong. It’s a very nice brace.
