Easy to Apply and Looks Good
These stainless Steel cover plates are easy to install and come with a self-stick tape to hold it flush to the wall. I've tried the single-piece cover plates that have one seam and they're tricky to bend sufficiently to be able to apply them on a pipe. No problem with these, even in a tight space. Note that they are 22mm, which is .86 inches so they're not really suitable for 1/2 inch pipe.

If You Have Got An Old House, You Need Some Of These, Easy To Retrofit!
In my old house the escutcheon plates look terrible. They are the types that can't be retrofitted without taking some of the pluming apart. The Wall Split Flange Stainless Steel split Escutcheon Plate are easy to install (retrofit). It really is one of those 5 minute job I keep hearing about but never encounter until now.
