It's a bright white. Our last ones were so yellow and dim that it really took time to readjust. We do love them and have already purchased another set. We all want to be there when we turn on for first time to see the immense difference...so interesting.

These cast a cool, bright light, so better for places where you value clarity over mood lighting. LED design has come a long way since they were only available in the ice cream cone swirl version. Even placed next to traditional bulbs, they do not look out of place.

I have no complaints about the bulbs other than the error of buying them was on my part. I over estimated the lumens needed and I purchased bulbs that were too bright for a small room. Thankfully the bulbs can be used elsewhere amd they work fine. The daylight bulbs are refreshing compared to the yellow led bulbs I had before. I would suggest people do some research on the Kelvin and lumens and what is really needed for the space the bulbs are being put in.

The cool white color immediately brightens whichever room you choose to install one in a lamp. Having always used "soft white" bulbs I was hesitant, but I will be ordering again.
