Having recently purchased the Sonic Boom Mach2 Spped skipping rope I can say I am extremely happy with the product I have received. Epitomie Fitness have always been high quality products in my opinion, and the skipping rope has yet again proved to be the same.First impressions the box seems a little extravagant for the fact that it is likely to end up in the rubbish bin soon afterwards, however if giving as a gift to someone it is a perfect touch to make a fairly mundane item seem that little bit special. OUt of the box the quailty again shows.The handles are weighted enough to give your hands a workout, and are long enough allow for a good grip to be had by any user. The cables are also of a nice weight with a robust feel to them. It seems that prolonged use, and repeatedly striking the floor will not cause them to break or fray any time soon. Though only time will tell.The fact you receive two colour coded cables is an added bonus as you can potentially adjust each cable to suit several people. For instance my daughter and I are relatively short in height so have cut down one cable to suit us, while the second has been left intact for my son who is substantially taller than us both. This ability is enhanced by the fact that to attach the handles to the cables is a simple 30 second process. A straight forward push of a button to open the self-locking clamp in each handle, and feeding the ends of the cables in means there is no knots, loosening of screws or dismantling of the handles as can be found on other jump ropes.The ball bearings in the handles make the action smooth and allows for some serious speed to be obtained without any restrictions as the movements are free flowing.Add the fact it comes with a carry bag for when not in use, and not only does the jump rope become easy to store, but also easily transportable in a rucksack or bag without tangling up.The only thing that has reduced my star rating to 4 is the fact that as of yet I have still to receive access to the free training videos that accompany your purchase of the jump rope. Access is via the Eptiomie Fitness website; where theorectically you just give your name and email address, but as I say up until now I have not received any notifications. There is also an issue with my account on the website as it seems that my email address (which I have not changed) is no longer recognised.So all in all I am very happy with my purchase, and if not for the issue with the training videos I would have given a full 5 stars. When this arrived the first thing that really stuck out for me was the quality of the presentation, everything is organised neatly into a small box which would make it perfect as a gift to fitness enthusiasts or those that train casually.The components of the rope itself are amazing, the handles have a great weighted feel to them which adds to the workout/warm up and the rope feels like it will last way beyond the point where you’ve gotten your money’s worth even without using the second rope provided.The setup was so easy that I had to check I’d done it correctly, literally just pushing the top of the handle down and feeding the rope in to the desired length, pressing the top of the handle down again should the rope need to be removed for more adjusted via cutting it down to a smaller size or replacement.Usage wise, you can get a really good workout from this rope, a high speed can be achieved (but stay aware that if it hits your bare feet at speed it hurts like hell). I don’t tend to do fancy rope tricks so can’t comment on how well it copes but for a general warmup/short workout, this item ticks all the boxes and can very easily (when stored in the carry case provided) find a home in any gym bag.

This is a good rope. It is easy to adjust the length and it spins really fast.Perhaps it is because I am not exactly a pro at skipping but it seems like the rope is a little bit thin and could do with a bit more weight.I noticed wear on the plastic of the rope after just a few minutes on a concrete patio so now I put down a rubber mat which is better.It comes with a spare rope too so should last well.

I’ve got a couple of skipping ropes but none were very smooth or quick. I saw this one and decided to give it a go. First off I like the fact it comes with two ropes. These are wire coated in plastic and comes in two colours, red and black. Super useful for if you only have concrete to skip on. The handle design is brilliant, the ball bearings mean the rope doesn’t get all twisted up. It’s a really whippy rope if that makes sense. Super quick and light.The best thing is that straight out the bag you can adjust the rope to your desired length. I’m 5’6” and just put the cables as far in the handle as it would go and it was perfect for me. Very quick and easy to set up, highly recommended.

Great quality speed skipping rope. Super efficient design allows you to swing the rope around very quickly. Double skips possible, triple with more practice. The grips are comfortable and rotate the rope very smoothly. I say rope, but it is plastic coated wire and it's very strong indeed. Each wire end simply inserts into the grip end and it holds very tightly. You can be set up in a minute. If the wire is too long, you can trim it to the desired length and there are two wires in the box. When finished, can pack away neatly in the carry case and it takes up no space at all. Very pleased and would definitely recommend this skipping rope to all serious trainers.

This rope is high quality, and when i say high quality i mean it - its by far the best rope ive used before.The sonic boom arrives in a nice presentation box with spare ropes. You do have to put it together, however this doesnt take long at all, and this allows you to get the length right first time.Double unders and speed skipping will come much easier with the speed this rope turns at.Be warned the rope itself is actually steel centred cord...if you do bare foot skipping ( martial artists/boxers etc. ) this WILL hurt if you catch your feet.
