Ocean Minded Men's Southern Baja Flip

I've had these sandals for quite a while now. They haven't held up as well as I had hoped, but they're still pretty good footwear. The fit well, since I like a little space in front of my toes, and behind my heels. The thong that goes between big toe and second toe caused some rawness as I was breaking them in, but after a week, that stopped. I love the strap that goes over the top of the foot, it's been comfortable the whole time.After about a year of wearing them every day in every type of weather, I have to say they've held their own. When the insole gets wet, it does get slippery, but so far I haven't had any problems out of the sole. Depending on how slippery the insole does get, they can get a little noisy.The reason I wish I could give it a 3.5 star review is that the insole is starting to crack and flake off, which means I'll have to replace them soon. They're still comfortable to wear, and I would recommend them for anyone who likes sandals. They take about a week of constant wear and use to get broken in properly, but after that, they are a good sandal.

I bought some Quicksilver, Reef and Ocean Minded Southern Baja sandals recently. To be fair the Ocean Minded sandals cost the most of the three.. but they are also the most comfortable and they stink less than the Reef sandals in particular. Not sure why some sandals smell so bad after a day of use but these Ocean Minded sandals seem to work well with my PH / Sweat.. not to get gross on you but hey - we all deal with it. Sizing - I wear 11.5 shoes, had to get size 12 to fit me. They are a tiny bit bigger in the toe area than I'm used to but it hasn't inhibited walking or pleasure of wearing them. Comfort level is high. Nice grippy shoe bed and nice leather. I'll buy another pair when these wear out.

i had a pair of these before for two years and i wore them out. actually i blew out my flip flop and if i wasn't such a big jimmy buffett fan, i would have been pissed off. but i think blowing out a flip flop is the ultimate for any buffett fan. my old pair were a much darker brown. i can only hope that these will darken as well, because these flip flops are my favorite of any that i have ever owned. the lightish color is ok. but totally not what i expected based on my last pair. did something change? if so, than the description on the site needs to be updated. i will keep you all posted on weather the color changes or not. so for now i can't rate them a full 5 stars.

Great flip flops. Nice brown color that goes with anything I want to wear. The only negative is these are stiff out of the box. I would suggest not pulling these out of the box and do excessive walking without a break in period. If you are buying these for a trip, I would suggest getting them early and wearing them around before going on your trip. Once broken in, they are extremely comfortable. The quality is good, as I said, my first pair lasted 2 years and could have gone another 2 but I have mowed the yard in them repeatedly and basically beat the heck out of them.

If you're looking for a sandal/flip-flop for summer this is it. Once I took it out of the package I could tell that the quality was there. I have a big foot, my shoe size is 13-14, 3-4E Wide. I ordered a size 13 and these fit me good. These aren't meant for wide feet but I just barely fit mine. They are still comfortable too, the thong is still stretching out a little to fit my feet size. I also like the footbed, feels really good the bottom of your feet, works well in the heat too.

I just bought my second pair to replace a pair I had had for 2 years and only needed to replace because the dog got ahold of them! I have previously had leather pairs of Teva and Rainbow's but this pair is by far my favorite. I feel that Teva and Rainbow are on-par with the Ocean Minded as far durability but the comfort of the Ocean Minded sandals out of the box are unbeatable with very good arch support (much like the double stack Rainbow sandals) which is very important to someone with a low arch like me. The Teva and Rainbow sandals that I have previously had took about about a month of wear/tear until the toe strap is broken in enough so it doesn't hurt my feet but these were good right out of the box!

It appears to be well constructed flip flop, and it felt good on the sole of my feet. BUT, the toe thong is way too shallow, especially for a size fourteen. My previous pair of Croc flip flops were a size thirteen and I loved them. Every dress shoe and athletic shoe I were is a 14 EE. All of the Crocs come in 13 as the largest size, so when I saw these, and they were made by Crocs, and also came in size 14, I jumped at the chance to get a pair.What a disappointment. I returned them the next day and Amazon refunded my money the next day. Gotta love Amazon Prime. Ordered the Crocs Men's Yukon Flip Flop in a size 13 that same day and two days later they were at my door. OMG, what a difference! They appear to be the same width and length as the 14s, but the toe thong fits perfectly. These so comfortable. Would definitely buy these and again and recommend to friends.

Originally I found these flip-flops at our local sporting goods store. My husband is very picky about flip-flops and I had been searching for a good comfortable pair of flip-flops for him for years! These are the only ones that fit the bill. The first pair only lasted about a year or so because he left them outside and they got wet, repeatedly. So the corners started to peel up a bit. I found these and he loves them just as much as the first pair and is looking after these much better. So far so good. They have fairly good arch support for a pair of flips.
