Phrase It ESL English Grammar Dice Game for Teachers and Students

I bought this product for my co worker. She is a speech therapist and I thought it would be a fun, different activity she could do with her clients with verbal processing and other cognitive deficits. Paper and pencil activities get boring and I am hoping this gives her another tool to use to engage them and make things fun and interesting. It is nicely packaged in a plastic box with a latch (kind of like a box for small fishing lures). This will make it easy for her to take around from room to room. The colors are bright with bright white lettering giving good contrast. The only thing missing is printed directions. But those are easy to find and print out from their website. So far I am very happy with the product. I will revise my review once she tries the game out and lets me know how it works for her. This may be another area these dice can be used other than teaching English.

It looked really neat but when I got it, there were no instructions on how you are supposed to play the games. I also don't understand why they had the word, "faith" included as that is not a common word used by ELL students. Dianne Graham

This combination of cards and dice have been used for both my lower level and upper level ESL adult classes. Using the dice for my upper level class, each student rolled the dice and picked 2 words. Using those words we had a running story where each student had to work their phrasal verb into their piece of the story. These tools have become a weekly activity both for fun and as a review tool for other topics to increase their use in normal English language. I've recommended both the cards and dice to peers who have also been excited by incorporating them into their practices. I only wish I'd found them earlier!

Fun game

Could use some instructions, unfortunately can't get the "Phrase it" game sent to me in Japan. So this was available. But with no instructions nor guide whatsover, kind of useless. Also the dice aren't even square!!! Lopsided dice makes this ... useless!
