The Ultimate Quest 3 Head Strap Upgrade You Didn’t Know You Needed
So, I’ve been using the BOBOVR M3 Pro Head Strap with my Meta Quest 3, and I’ve got to say—it’s a massive upgrade over the stock strap. If you’re spending any real time in VR, comfort and balance make all the difference, and this thing delivers in spades. Build Quality & Design First off, the build quality is spot on. It feels solid, well-made, and doesn’t creak or flex like cheaper alternatives. The real star here, though, is the magnetic battery system—and honestly, it’s brilliant. The battery just snaps into place with a strong magnetic connection, so there’s no messing around with clips or cables. Need to swap it out mid-game? No problem—it detaches smoothly, and the new one clicks right in. It’s a small detail, but it makes managing battery life effortless. Comfort & Fit Comfort-wise, this strap absolutely delivers. The weight distribution is excellent, so the Quest 3 feels much more balanced on my head, rather than pressing down on my face. It’s snug without being too tight, and here’s the best part—I can lift the headset up while keeping the strap in place. That might not sound like a big deal, but if you ever need to check your surroundings, grab a drink, or just take a quick break without readjusting everything, it’s incredibly convenient. Battery Life The included battery pack is a great addition, but don’t expect it to completely eliminate battery drain. It extends playtime for sure, but under heavy use, the Quest 3 will still lose charge—just at a much slower rate. If you’re planning super long sessions, it’s worth grabbing an extra battery to swap in. That said, the ease of swapping batteries thanks to the magnetic system makes it way more practical than dealing with cables or external packs. Final Thoughts Would I recommend it? Absolutely. The BOBOVR M3 Pro is a huge quality-of-life improvement for the Quest 3. It’s comfortable, sturdy, and makes dealing with battery life effortless. The ability to flip the headset up while keeping the strap in place is a game-changer, and the magnetic battery swap system is one of those features that just makes sense. If you’re still using the default strap, just upgrade already. You won’t regret it.

Great replacement for the original strap
Having received my headset strap + battery and having used it for a few hours, I can say that it’s certainly a vast improvement over the standard strap. Very comfortable and padded, as well as being incredibly simple to put on and take off. When I tested with pcvr the additional freedom granted by the extra battery was welcome. I will note that it won’t support the quest 3 for too long, but it kept my quest at 96% for a 1hr session on no man’s sky vr, with 50% battery remaining on the battery pack, so it’s likely to cover my typical gaming sessions nicely. After a recharge and with red matter 2 stand-alone on the quest, I managed to deplete the battery in 2hours with the quest sitting at 80% by that time. I should note, unlike a review I read of the m3 the battery for me does not whine or make any noise under load, nor does it get warm. I had concerns about this but it would appear to not be an issue (at least for mine). I’m sold on the halo strap over the default. Can’t speak for how it compares to the elite, but as a newcomer to vr headsets I can say this strap finally makes the quest 3 viable for long term play with no pain at all. Great product and I felt the price fair.

Solid Upgrade with Minor Drawbacks: BOBOVR M3 Pro Review
I recently upgraded to the BOBOVR M3 Pro Head Strap for my Quest 3, and I'm generally pleased with its performance. The strap is significantly more comfortable and provides a better fit than the standard attachment that comes with the headset. This improved design noticeably enhances the overall VR experience by keeping the headset securely and comfortably in place during use. One of the highlights of this model is the battery integration, which, while it doesn't allow for charging the headset, effectively extends its runtime. This feature is quite beneficial for longer VR sessions, ensuring I'm not constantly worried about battery life. Compared to the previous M2 model, the M3 Pro offers improved comfort, which is a welcome upgrade. However, I was disappointed to find that the ability to connect a fan has been removed. This feature was incredibly useful for staying cool during active VR games, and its absence is felt during intense sessions. Another drawback is the battery's noticeable high-pitched noise, which can be distracting. The only workarounds are to either turn up the game volume or use headphones, which isn't always ideal. Overall, I'm satisfied with the quality and price ratio of the BOBOVR M3 Pro, but for those looking for even more features, it might be worth considering the BOBOVR S3 Pro Super. This model includes a larger battery and a built-in fan, which could provide a more comfortable and immersive VR experience, especially during active play.

Very comfortable!
Obviously, the stock Quest 3 strap is utter rubbish, so an aftermarket strap is an absolute necessity. This is the third strap I have tried, and I'm happy to say that it's by far the best! I use VR headsets for PC gaming and usually wear a pair of headphones. The issue with the first two straps I tried was that the side straps were positioned very low down, almost against my ears, meaning it was difficult to put the headphones on comfortably. Due to it's design, the side rails on the Bobovr are positioned much higher, so there is no issue with wearing headphones. It is also much more comfortable than the others I tried as the entire wight of the headset seemed to be resting on the bridge of my nose - not so with this one. I can't comment on the life of the supplied battery as I haven't tried it yet, and probably won't much as my Q3 is hooked up to my PC using a link cable the majority of the time. My only gripe would be that the cable that runs from the battery section at the rear of the strap isn't removable, so just has to hang there when I have the PC link cable plugged in. It's very easy to fit to the Quest and seems to be made of good quality materials. Very happy with this purchase!

Not perfect, but still very good
The M3 Pro is a vast improvement on the standard strap, shifting the weight into your forehead and the top of your head instead of squashing the headset into your face and cheeks. It doesn't have a huge amount of adjustment, but it's not too hard to find a position that you can just set and leave. I've found that the amount of time I can spend comfortably in VR has doubled as a result. There are lots of great comments already, so I'll add a few of my own findings instead of repeating them: 1. When you first put the strap together, the rear head cushion has a felt and a right side. This isn't clear in the instructions so check carefully for the markings before you attach it or it won't fit your head properly. It's hard to detach if you get it wrong. 2. The rubbery hexagon insert for that part feels more comfortable to me than the padded cushion, and doesn't move around as much in use. That swaps over with velcro. 3. The velcro strap for the headset doesn't seem to do much as the unit is pretty much fixed in place. I found that it tended to loop back and sit on top of the forehead cushion and in contact with my skin, but that may just be how I fitted it. l I left it unconnected with no issues 4. When adjusted to its closest setting the face gasket sits exactly where it did with the normal strap, but with no pressure. I experienced no reduction in field of view at all. 5. I charged the battery to full and then used it to recharge the Quest 3S as a test. It managed 80%, so I think the 1.5 hours of extra time is a bit optimistic. 6. Even if the battery isn't great, attaching it to the headset provides excellent balance at the expense of some weight. 7. The battery beeps are LOUD when you connect it, and when it's nearly flat. That'll beep into your ears unexpectedly at around 10% charge, and it'll keep going every minute or so until you disconnect it. It's really not necessary.

A must have.
Excellent product well built and comfortable 12 year old said it’s much better than the standard strap that pinched his hair and pushed against his face. It gives him adequate time to play before he needs a rest then sticks it on charge. And if u charge the battery pack while it’s connected to the headset it charges both at the same time. Price was fair too. Well done with this product 👌🏻

Must have for the Quest 3
When I upgraded from the Quest 2 to the Quest 3 the stock facial interface felt way more uncomfortable than the Quest 2. It was unusable on my face shape. So for the first few weeks I used the BoboVR M2 Plus head strap strapped with velcro straps onto the Quest 3 so I can use it. It wasn't a perfect setup but it was infinitely more comfortable. When my BoboVR M3 arrived it went on immediately. The comfort compared to the stock strap is incomparable. I use the headset without the facial interface most of the time with the headset floating in front of my eyes. This allows me to work comfortably in the headset most of the day and then carry on gaming later in the evening. For vigorous gaming such as Beat Saver ideally the facial interface is necessary for greater stability, however, tightening the strap a bit keeps it in place without the interface sufficiently that I have not had to insert it since buying the headset, only needing to readjust it slightly every song or two. With the additional battery from the M3 I have three available. With either Immersed for work or Virtual Desktop for gaming at night I swop the batteries every hour or so at which point they're mostly drained. Two are always in the charger. This allows me uninterrupted time in the headset for the whole day and a few hours in the evening. I have heard complaints that some see the headset charge drop while using the BoboVR batteries, however, for the most part my headset stays at 90% or above, usually only dipping below 100% if I forget to swop the battery before it is completely drained. The BoboVR battery does not supply enough power to charge the headset while in use, so it stays at whatever charge level it had dropped to. This is fine and I have never run out of power while using the head strap. I consider this head strap an indispensable accessory for the Quest 3.

A really unique, high quality and innovative design. It's amazing!
TLDR, This strap offers excellent value for it's price. When compared to other straps in it's price range it completely outmatches them with unique features and a comfortable design. I can't speak for all types, however I can say it works well on my and my siblings heads! _______________________________________ ● Quality, The plastic quality of this design is exceptional; it feels premium and durable. The inclusion of two separate replacement Velcro straps, one for enhanced grip and the other for comfort, adds versatility to the product. The generic USB C cable included in the box serves its purpose adequately but lacks uniqueness. The headset strap itself features a detachable battery, a braided non-detachable USB C cable, and a supportive back grip. ● Installation, Installing the strap was straightforward. Attaching the back support to the strap and connecting it to the headset following the provided instructions was hassle-free. The process doesn't require excessive force, minimizing the risk of damaging the headset. However, having the detachable battery pre-charged out of the box would have been a convenient improvement, however I digress. _______________________________________ Summary, This headset strap stands out for its unique design, ergonomic features, and commendable comfort levels. Given its competitive pricing compared to other brands, it offers significant value. With its user-friendly installation and additional features, it proves to be a worthwhile investment for enhancing the VR experience. 5/5, by far the best out there. Bobo smashed it! 👍 About me, I want to become an Amazon Vice reviewer, so I can make more reviews like this with more products. So if you enjoyed this, found it useful or just feel like helping a stranger out then please give it a ❤️ as it will help me out! Thank you for reading, • Callum
