Zmodo EZCam Wireless Two-Way Audio Smart HD IP Camera with Night Vision (Renewed)

This has been very a troublesome camera. It seemed to work OK for a while and then would disconnect from WiFi periodically. When I took it home and tried to connect to a very good home WiFi system and could not even get it to come up on my phone at all. It's inexpensive and not very dependable.

I love Zmodo cameras. I have four but this is my first Zmodo EZCam. It was easy to set up and connect with the app. However, the picture quality (even on HD) is awful. It's very pixelated and blurry. I've moved the camera to a couple of different locations thinking it might be interference but it doesn't make any difference. I've even swapped the cord with another Zmodo camera that works great and that also did not make any difference. I won't buy refurbished again to save money... because the quality is terrible.

Zmodo is probably my favorite brand when it comes to home security cameras. These are crystal clear. The app is simple to use and installing these cameras is easy as can be.The two way voice function is loud, clear and crisp. It doesn’t distort or muffle.This camera does have night vision. It does not pan and is stationary but covers a wide field of view.

The HARDWARE is fine. They write the firmware and phone SOFTWARE which is the Root Cause of all the issues.It simply becomes disconnected, and Stays that way until you power cycle it.BAD PROGRAMMING and software.The phone app pairing is a joke too, barely works and I had to try three different methods.. as an IT guy.App looks ok, which is what they focused on, NOT the working parts... Sad.Support is ok, they KNOW its an issue.

They worked ok. Then bought new rauter and they won't connect. Dodo support tells me to do what I've been doing and still not connecting 11 cameras and dodo doesn't help. Wasted my Money on 11 dodo cameras..zmodo support is a joke! Now they completely erase you from your account. So bought 11 cameras and threw my money away!

Great cameras, we use them everyday. The only issue I have is with the night vision, if it’s in a window it doesn’t work well, would have to be mounted outside. And, the power point on the board is fragile, so don’t plug/unplug it too much or it could fail.

Was a bit intimidating because I am NOT at all a tech person. But when I say it’s easy, it’s easy!!!! Hardest part was finding my glasses to read the directions! Not I love calling the dogs while I am not at home! Lol

It’s a very good camera. I have given it two stars less coz it sometimes missed the motion detection. And sometimes it gives false alerts when there is no motion. Overall picture quality is good and good value for money.
