I have tried many different ear plugs over the years due to my husband being a snorer and me a light sleeper and these are the best! They don't go down inside the ear, but instead cover the outside opening, so when you use them, it's the same effect as putting your fingers in your ears, so you can still hear the noises you make. You can mould them perfectly to your ear shape and although I have small ears, I didn't need to pull apart the pre made sized pieces. I am a side sleeper and these are the only ear plugs I have used that do not hurt or feel uncomfortable. They reduce the surrounding sound significantly but do not block entirely, instead turning loud snoring right next to me to sounding like a distant background noise, like it's in a room in a different part of the house (which has been our set up for over 20 months until now!) I have used the same pair and by following the instructions, I have managed to get 8 days usage out of one set, up from the estimated 5 days use. As another reviewer said, they are a marriage saver and cost far less than a divorce or a house with enough bedrooms for us to have a room each! I can't recommend these enough!

For me personally, I've had a great experience so far with these. I'm a pathetically light sleeper yet my partner can sleep (and snore) for England. Its been particularly bad recently and my foam earplugs weren't cutting it so I gave these a shot and I've slept like a baby for the last 4 nights. I can't be sure how bad her snorings been, and I have definitely heard it once or twice, but it's amazing how the airtight seal stops the vibrations getting in and makes it so much easier to sleep through it. You're always going to hear noise with any earplugs you buy. And different people will have different sensitivities, but these are super comfortable, super easy to put in (once you figure out how) and really do cut out irritating noises while not blocking out so much sound that you can't hear your alarm. The only downside really is that they're not washable and will get dirty easily, just by picking up fluff from the pillowcase, but you can get around that by taking something sharp like a pair of scissors and scraping the dirty bits off. If you're having trouble, I reccomend giving these a go. Just make sure you learn how to wear them properly, as I have a suspicion that a lot of these bad reviews are coming from people who are trying to wear them just regular foam earplugs.

Another benefit is that they can be reused a few times before replacing them, so a pack lasts a long time. Overall they are a simple but really effective solution if you struggle with sleep because of noise, travel often, or just want a calmer and quieter environment at night.

Wasn't very happy with these. The reviews all seem great however they just didn't have anywhere never the effectiveness of traditional ear plugs I was hoping these would be an improvement over. Comfortable but not as great as blocking out sound.

Doesn't block any sound Can't believe the reviews are so positive. Absolute rubbish

Because of the shape of my ear canal, I have always found the standard foam earplugs difficult to get to stay in my ears, and even if I can, they don't work all that well. I went to a floatation sensory deprivation tank, and they gave me these to put in my ears so water wouldn't get in them while I was floating. These are much more than waterproof earplugs. Their ability to silence the world is fantastic. Far better than foam. They seal against the ear perfectly, and if you press and release them, it creates a slight vacuum that stops your eardrum from moving, creating perfect silence. Literally the most perfect silence I have ever experienced. I buy these for friends about to take a flight - they are great for planes, noisy hotel rooms, just fantastic. Discovered these by accident, and now I wouldn't use anything else.

The perfect earplug for individuals such as I who are easily woken by sound. The silicone is malleable and easily shaped to contour to your ears BUT do not force it inside your ear canal. Noise cancellation is superb and won't affect sleeping on the side. Worn it first and had 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Will definitely buy again.

Macks really are pillow soft silicone earplugs. I have tried other brands when I couldn't get Macks and the silicone is hard and difficult to mold to your ear. Macks are easily pliable to mold to your ear and stay soft which makes it easier to sleep on either side. They also don't go in as deep as the foam earplugs that can go in too deep and hurt your ears. Macks are the best earplugs I have ever used and I won't use anything else from now on.
