A useful guide with various resources

Extremely Useful Information Inside!
This book is invaluable. I am planning a trip to Tahiti in 2026 and I read this book religiously. Although I can neither confirm nor deny the information but people who have been there have confirmed the book to be true to form. I'm so excited about going to Tahiti and the surrounding islands and I'm very thankful for this book!!

Not really a guidebook anymore
Lonely planet guides have gone so far down hill I don’t think it should be categorized as a guidebook anymore. While staying on a smaller island in French Polynesia, the wifi was barely working so we attempted to use the Lonely planet that I had been carrying around to help us plan our time. Luckily our accommodation had a french language lonely planet that was 12 years old, and even though we don’t speak any French it had more information/maps than this new version.
