soooo good soooo warm
i've tried base layers from patagonia, arc'teryx, icebreaker. none of them are as warm or as comfortable as the smartwool. very happy to find XS stock on amazon as it is not available anywhere else.

Get them, but take extra care!
Love them and wanted them for quite some time! Could never justify the price, until winter hunting season. I like how thin, flexible, and warm they are. After my first wash (on cold & delicate) I noticed several holes along the outside leg. This was quite a let down given the wait and price.. I cannot say if I rubbed up against something, & if I did, they were used as an under layer. So not too sure what happened. I could see myself getting another pair as I love pretty much all smartwool products. The warmth and comfort are top notch.

So far, so great!
I wear these for fishing in cold weather. So far, I have worn once with waders and twice when shore fishing in 38 degrees with strong wind. What a difference! I'm hoping they are durable, as well, and time will tell whether they are ultimately worth the price (admittedly not cheap). They passed the threshold test, however, with flying colors!
