Muck Boots Unisex's Derwent Ii All Purpose Field Boot

completely worth the money
I work on excavation sites, year round and was absolutely tired of the cheap, cold and uncomfortable wellies my company was providing me with, which inevitably split or spring leaks after a bit of wear (archaeology is tough on footwear). No longer! These are so comfortable. You forget you’re even wearing wellies, and they keep your feet well insulated too. I don’t think I’ll wear any other wellies again.

Waterproof comfort and quality
These boots are ideal for those who have chunky calf’s. They fit well without restricting muscle movement or blood flow. For ease of putting them on, they can be rolled down and once the foot is seated, rolled back up.They hold the foot snuggly and you may find you need a boot remover/jack/puller.In the mud you feel sure footed due to the good tread on the bottom. After testing these out a couple of times in very muddy fields with above ankle depth mud and puddles, they are completely waterproof.I found them supportive at the ankle and quite comfortable to wear. There is a seam at the back of the heal which needs breaking in but I’m sure once it is, they will be the perfect muck boot.I was a little worried about the price when buying them, as they seemed expensive for something I didn’t know would fit or what the quality was like. I have found them to be great quality and a wonderful fit.Having never had a pair of muck boots before I can totally recommend them for comfort and quality!

Comfortable Boots. Didn't last
I do like these boots. And to be fair, I did get a lot of use out of them. However, they didn't last a full year before noticing a split in the rubber, thus making them unusable for keeping my feet dry. They were comfortable enough though, but I did put in a different in-sole to increase the comfort. In fairness, I do walk between 5-7 miles most days with my dog. And so these boots lasted around 340 days. Like I said, they were worn most days, so maybe have done ~1800 miles. Turns out the soles were looking pretty close to wearing through anyway. So perhaps I am being a touch harsh, but I was expecting them to last a little longer.None the less, I'll give them a second go and order another pair. As I said, they were comfortable enough, and I am putting the miles on the boots, so comfort is a big factor. Not easy to find a place to try on multiple different boots where I am, so not sure I wish to fork out significantly more to try another boot that may or may not be as comfortable or last the mileage.

Good boots initially, not worth the price in the long run sadly.
Initially ordered one size up as per on screen recommendation but had to return as way too big. Replacement arrived quickly and I’m very pleased with them. Very sturdy, well made and comfortable boots. Not yet tested in mud and water.*****Update***** Having worn them for numerous long dog walking trips and occasional gardening through wet weather, my boots have now split at the toecap and heel, and as the air cushioned soles have been pierced by thorns, I get wet feet every time I wear them. I’ve tried to repair them, unsuccessfully. I won’t be buying them again. A real shame as they are very comfortable and warm, but they leak. a lot.

Perfect wellies
This is my fourth pair of Muck boots and I would recommend and buy again and again. I wear these wellies everyday for work and then for long walks at the weekend. These boots are so comfortable and provides good insulation under foot, my feet are never cold. Previous pairs have lasted for about a year, then eventually the seam splits and they start to let water in. But bear in mind, I am using then everyday for 4 hour stints, so I have no quarms. Do shop around as prices do vary but still cheaper and a lot better than Hunters or Barbours.

Way too expensive, weak join split on BOTH boots on the same day.
I won't be buying another pair from Muck. 16 months of light use March 22 to May 22 & October 22 to February 23 and a few days a month since then. The join along the top of BOTH boots gave up within minutes of each other. Looks like a built-in weak spot, can the manufacturers confirm if it's a deliberate flaw or just a coincidence? Unimpressed.Rubbish.Not worth the money. If you work for Muck Boots you should get the amount I paid for this tat framed and hung on the office wall for everyone to see because that's the only money of mine you'll ever see. Both of my feet got wet. Isn't it strange that both boots failed in the same place on the same day. Did you not use enough glue? I'm struggling to work out how this failure has happened so conveniently. You should be ashamed to have your name on them.

Didn't fit me, then price jumped to get a smaller size.
I've always had size 9 in every shoe or boot, all brands no issues, but for me these slopped around and I know they would end up giving me blisters had very bad heel lift.I got these at £60, but when I looked at returning and ordering a 8.5, they had jumped to £100, so I just sent them back.My partner has a pair and she raves about them, so comfy and water tight, but for me they just didn't work.
