Elvenborn (Halfblood Chronicles, Book 3)

I love this book and have for a long time. I was looking for a replacement on a previous book and was happy to find this listed as new condition. I got it and it was packaged immaculately including being shrink wrapped so that it couldn't be damaged during shipping and when I got it it was exactly as advertised.

This is the 3rd book in the series. The first 100 pages are a little boring, hard to hold my interest (it is a lot of background information) and then it connects to the previous two book's stories; it finally takes off and is continuing to interest me. I haven't finished it yet but I am sure it will be satisfying. If you read the first two books, you will enjoy this one. If you like to read about elves and dragons, and are also a Terry Brooks fan you will probably like this book. If you are a fan of Mercedes Lackey/Andre Norton you will like this book. Make sure you read the three books in order.

This is the third book in a series I'm reading. The book came in excellent condition and in a timely manner.

I loved this book! The characters are nicely developed and the fantasy characters are amazing. The only problem i have is that Andre Norton has passed away and I can't find any info on the next book in the series. Mercedes Lackey has reported on her blog that there will be more, but I don't see anything on the horizon. I hate to wait forever for a resolution to the series!

Reading down the list of books that Andre Norton wrote. The Halfblood Chronicles were the last on my list. These are some of Andre Norton better works written with Mercedes Lackey. These stories fit into the new century with elements of timeliness. Some of Andre Norton's earlier stories are better off being left out of print (Ralestone Luck, 1938).

I enjoyed it had a few spots I did not even see coming which I really like when that happens. Narrator is clear and easy to understand which goes a long way in my enjoyment of a book. A must read if you read part 1 and 2.

I got the Kindle edition of this book. I hope the paper edition is better. The editing is so bad it is hard to read. I had to constantly stop to figure out what the right word was for the sentence. I finally decided at 7 at the beginning of the sentence meant "I" and mat meant that. This happened on every page in sometimes in every paragraph. It was incredibly distracting and detracted from the story.The story line is good as I always like MS Norton and Lackey. Their combined talent created an interesting trilogy with political, economic, and romantic themes. Great characters, interesting plot, and action. Too bad it was so poorly done.

Have read them all so far, and cannot wait for more. The Dragons are wonderful and the certainly an new look at Elven culture! Of course, have read and loved Norton for decades and Lackey, too!!

As Andre Norton is no longer with us, we probably won’t know what happened next. This is a good story in itself but obviously more were to come. If you don’t like incomplete series don’t start this one. I’m a great fan of both Andre Norton and Mercedes Lackey. This is up to their usual standard. Exciting adventures good characterisations. I’d recommend to any fantasy reader.

Book was as described and it arrived by the date it said it would. This is a great series.

I am a Mercedes lackey fan and thoroughly enjoyed this book in collaboration with Andre Norton, both excellent authors but my favourite fantasy writer is Mercedes Lackey
