Fit for Knits: Everything you need to fit and sew beautiful knit clothes

Quality paper, really helpful content. I used it already to help figure out why a sleeve wasn't fitting me well. I think this is the best book on the market on this topic- there is no other book that deals with this specific issue and this book is an excellent fitting book as well. All the other fitting books assume you are working with wovens and so are a bit different and less helpful if you are sewing knit garments. There are a million illustrations and they are just so, so incredibly clear. They are really helpful and easy to understand. I think the authors hit it out of the park with this book and I hope it picks up traction.

This is a very good book. They are clearly experts on working with knits. The writing and the examples are clear and concise. The print is large enough I don't need a magnifying glass to read it. Great addition to my collection of sewing books.

Johanna Lundstrom and Malena Hjerpe certainly know their knits! The book is clearly written in a large font with excellent photos and technical illustrations. The illustrations reminded me of those in the Nancy Zieman books which were so sharp and understandable. I love how much information there is on fitting knits with all of the sewing techniques. Sewing techniques include a sewing machine, and the serger and coverstitch machines. I can note that I wish the authors covered more than one way of sewing a neckline band beyond sewing in the round, like attaching it with a flat method. The book is a quality publication and a perfect size to keep as a knit reference beside your machine.

This is a very comprehensive book on knits. It had many new techniques for altering your patterns. It also describes the different types of knits and when you would use them. I think this is important especially for less experienced sewers. This book is complete and updated for most of what you need to sew knits. I highly recommend it as a great refernce book.

This is such a fantastic book. It is clear, concise, and teaches you how to easily achieve a professional result. Steps are perfectly illustrated, and no detail is excluded. I have another book by this author, and it is equally well executed. Can't recommend this book enough. Thank you Johanna!

I have been sewing for over 50 years but have avoided sewing knits just because I was pretty clueless. At 72 I am learning that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. This book is also pointing out the fact that the knit clothing I purchased is definitely inferior, so I am learning what mistakes to avoid or correct. Thank you ladies for a great resource. I am looking at knitwear with a whole new understanding.

MY HOLY BIBLE. I was having issues with my shirt and got sick of adjusting my pattern with no luck on fixing the issue. This book was able to figure out exactly what was wrong and how to fix it!

I just got my book and it looks great! The illustrations, the attention to detail, and the thorough explanations are impressive. I have been listening to their podcasts and watching their YouTube episodes and it’s amazing how many tips and tricks they add to their basic instruction. They are a great resource if you want to go on a knit journey!

Excellent and precious tips on how to sew with knits or stretchy fabrics . From choosing the right needle, type of stitch to use, using your sewing machine feed dogs, Keeping fabric flat, adjusting the presser foot pressure: etc etc . Overlocking knits, inserting sleeves etc.

This excellent book covers all fitting problems and gives the solutions in easy to understand instructions. Also includes sewing instructions which is a bonus. It really is the Bible of fitting for knits.

Ci sono tante pagine dedicate allo sdifettamento dei cartamodelli pronti, io per quello non ho problemi perchè ho il mio corpino base già sdifettato ma leggo volentieri tutti i consigli di cucito per il jersey. Le immagini sono molto chiare, il libro è in inglese ma molto molto semplice, visto che l'autrice non è madrelingua. Johanna Lundstrom è veramente brava e preparata, ho tutti i suoi libri e spero che ne scriva altri.
