Hoosier Hill Farm Egg White Powder 1/2 lb

Got this to use to make eggwhite cocktails, works excellent! You just have to make sure that you are taking the time to stir it, otherwise it's very sticky. It's a great substitute for behind the bar so there aren't any actual eggs to deal with. It's also much cheaper then buying as many eggs as egg whites as it's made.I wasn't able to figure out how long they kept, we were able to use them for about a week pre-made refrigerated with out any issues. I was nervous to keep the pre-made egg whites for longer than a week.

Where have I been? These are great. I add one or two egg whites to two normal eggs for a higher protein scramble/omelet. Tastes great and I don’t have to juggle as many eggs or waste any yolkes.To the folks dinging this for not having mixing instructions, they printed them on the side of the container. If you’re looking for conversions, 3 tsp = 1 tbsp, 16 tbsp = 1 cup. Or better yet, buy a scale here on Amazon and measure everything out in mass, which is more accurate and definitely more consistant then common measuring spoons.

Came within a reasonable length of time. I use it for making Brodchen (crusty yeast rolls) and it seems to work as well as fresh egg whites.

still trying to find the ratio of water to egg white powder that works for me in cooking scrambled whites but so far so good. Works well with my attempts with lighter fritters and pancake mix.It's 2020 January, and I'm done to my last 2 tbspns of this original 2016 purchase. Still trying to figure out just right balance of water to egg powder but 2 tbsp of the evv powder to about 1/3 cup of water works for a nice omelette for me. It hasn't been an every day use and i still buy eggs at the store. It is good know the powder has this long a shelf life.

OVERPRICED PRODUCT WHERE THE DEB-EL IS LIKE HALF THE PRICE, STUPID LABEL, HEAVEN FORBID THEY PUT A REAL PHONE NUMBER ON THE PRODUCT TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HOOSIER EITHER CUSTOMER SERVICE OR I THINK CORP IS A SHELL OPERATION SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDWEST BUT YOULL HAVE TO GUESS AS THERE IS NO ADDRESS PHONE OR ANY CONTACTAND NO LABEL CONVERSION TO TELL ME THE EQUAL OF WATER TO EGG WHITES, HOOSIER ARE U LAZY U COULDNT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER TO MAKE A PROPER LABEL, A WASTE OF MY MONEY

Last month when I purchased this product I did not pay attention to the price because I was happy with the product from a previous purchase. When it arrived I realized that I had paid 6 dollars more than the price currently posted. Furthermore, on closer research I realized that the price per pound is double what is available from other well know providers.

Seems okay.

I was happy to find this product available on line since the powdered egg white I had been buying in grocery stores for years is no longer available. It is just powdered egg white; no sugar or gum arabic or whatever. I use it to make royal icing. It is so much easier than separating eggs and you don't have to be squeamish about eating something made with raw egg, not to mention having to do something with all those yolks!Also very happy about how the product is packaged in a wide mouthed jar (easy to measure tablespoons from it) and how quickly the order arrived.
